    OH MY GOSH....with all the negative comments on her soap history, why the h@ll are we getting her? Who's she sleeping with or related to, as we'd say in the business world.
    I JUST HOPE OUR CORE ACTOR'S/ACTRESS' HOW ARE THE HISTORY OF THE SHOW ARE KEPT; unless they prefer to retire. If anything get rid of all the youngsters!

    - She hates minorities and diversity.

    - Hates "old broads", any women over 40.

    - Hates any middle-aged characters in romances.

    - Fires fan favorites with no hesitation.

    - Meddles severely in writing.

    - Hires her friends and makes them leads on her shows.

    - Backburns and marginalizes Vets.

    - Hates strong females.

    - Breaks up popular couples in favor of her new pairings, usually putting a major part of a couple with one of her friends.

    - Kills off core families and replaces them with her new families.

    - She destroyed Guiding Light, One Life to Live, Another World, Santa Barbara, and General Hospital.

    If this means we don't get to see any more Victor/ Gen/ Nicki bedroom scenes, I can get behind this.

    I guess it sucks for the actors but, frankly, I'd rather see a character killed off than be treated the way MAB has, for instance, treated Sharon.
    If you as a writer don't want that character anymore then kill them off...that's is better for me as a viewer than taking a once loved character and senselessly, without any explanation or rational suddenly changing her character till she is unrecognizable.

    From what I have seen MAB has gone around willy nilly hiring characters from other soaps and introducing them into the Y&R cast at the expense of time and story lines for the well liked existing Y&R cast members.

    " Hates strong females."

    It's hard for me to imagine that any writing team could be more misogynistic than the one headed up by MAB. Not only don't they like strong females. they don't like good, or moral, or kind females either. Ever main female character on MAB's Y&R is a vicious bit*tch or a complete skank. I say main character because I think Ester is neither, she is just a total dumby/ditz (the few times she is on at all.

    You mean like Shadam/Chadam?

    I say bring it on...even if the soap does end up going down the tubes it was headed that way anyway and I am glad to see MAB is finally getting some pay back for driving this show into the garbage can.

    I'm not going to go with all this negativity,I'm going to give this new writting team a chance and pray for the best. Until I see or hear otherwise,I will continue to support my favorites on the show and whatever happens is going to happen. Hopefully they'll learn from their mistakes,we'll have to wait and see

    Interesting profile picture you have. Did you know JFP pretty much hates them both right and don't be shocked if they are both fired within the year....

    Just saying. JFP's dislike of Genie Francis is legendary. She is the reason she left GH in the first place.

    Now she is on Y&R...

    I don't think that JFP was ever in charge of ATWT but I could be wrong. I do remember her GL days. She was the reason that Beverlee McKinsey left the show. She was overworked by JFP. When Bev tried to reach her during her vacation to let her know that she wasn't coming back, she refused to take the call. Her departure was legendary in soaps. Bev was considered to be the best actress in daytime. She killed off Maureen Bauer for Emmys sadly even though the fans loved the character. During her four years, she brought GL down until she left to go to AW which also was canceled and then OLTL and then GH.
    I don't think JFP wants to be at Y&R. Personally I think she wants to be back at GH overall, I don't know what to expect but I remember that she killed Frankie on AW. Under her reign at GH, she has turned it into the Sonny show with mobsters getting more airtime than the hospital. She destroyed the Quartermaine family and let Anna Lee go off contract and John Ingle as well. She killed Allan which was a mistake. She brought back Heather to only be destructive and insane. She got rid of vets like Brad Maule, Jackie Zeman, etc. Genie Francis only wanted to have the same time off as Tony Geary to spend with her family but she wouldn't let her so she quit. It's a shame that Sony and CBS brought JFP to bring on more destruction. I wouldn't be surprised if Carmine's father comes to town. We'll only have to see her finally bury the show into the ground under her reign. If I was a cast and crew member, i would be worried and start seeking a backup plan when she lets them go.

    My mom was bent out of shape when she killed off Frankie on Another World. Seems to me every thing she touches she destroys. I don't understand why Y&R is being subjected to this woman. I guess we'll have to wait and see what she will do.

    I'm going along with you on this. I am going to give them a chance. Maybe this is the perfect spot for them and they will promote the best ever.

    i watched the frankie murder on youtube. wow!! it was so violent & graphic!
