If anything because the fact that he could be so loyal to Phyllis but yet he can't even be loyal to his own mother Nina, you see how Ronan has been treating his mother ever since he has come back into town especially when his mother wanted him to help her with Paul's case, trying to get him to sympathize with Paul and he wouldn't do it but yet he can sympathize with his former lover and not his mother, what a hypocrite if you ask me

Nina deserves so much better for a son, and Chance deserves so much better for a brother

IMO here the writers go again changing the essence of a character. The Ronan that we were introduced to would not let the scales of justice become unbalanced on his watch.
His behavior snarking at Christine and sheltering the Psycho is so wrong for a stand up by the book law enforcement guy. sorry my eyes got stuck

Ronan I thought him and Nina were close or were at least trying to find their way into having a mother/son relationship with one another but the way he treats the woman who gave him life is pretty downright disrespectful as far as I am concerned and he is only loyal to Phyllis because she used to be his lover and that's it, if it wasn't for any of that, and if Ronan had never met Phyllis, he would want her to pay, that is how you know he has little sense of family loyalty when it comes to Nina and Chance and he has more loyalty only to his women, low sense of priorities and Ronan is nothing more than a glorified hypocrite

I don't think I ever had respect for him.

That pretty much seals it, everyone is losing respect for Ronan Malloy

Ronan's return has been a total bust IMO. First the whole premise of him returning to find Abby was ridiculous.

Ronan inserting himself into Paul's case and Michael letting him pretty much run the police department is a total joke. Just have him quite the FBI and make him police chief of GC, then at least it would make some sense.

Having him involved at all with Phyllis' case is utterly ridiculous given his personal history with her but then again having Bug involved in any more than a witness capacity is stupid too. She should never have been ordering Ronan or anyone else to arrest Phyllis nor should she have been present when she was arrested.

Lastly, Ronan going off on his mother was just wrong. He needs to understand she's going to be emotional because she cares for Paul and for him. Disappointed that he came back with both barrels blazing after they last scene they had together before he left. Expected better from the character.

Overall; IMO, Ronan is actually taking away from the Phyllis storyline and not at all adding to it.
