Phyllis is a core character and one that many viewers enjoy. Therefore, those looking or hoping for a prison term can forget it. I predict that there may be some sort of rewrite that clears Phyllis and make Cricket look like the FOOL she is.

The insect on the other hand will leave Genoa City with nothing, no husband, boyfriend or children to speak of. Phyllis will have her husband, her children, and her sister-- her family.

Cricket has her career though. I hope that keeps her warm at night and it's good company for her.

Why does Christine deserve not to have a man or a child, because for me the one who does not deserve either is Phyllis and because of present circumstances may lose both and she certainly deserves too! Phyllis is one of the characters on the show, but there are a lot of viewers who do not enjoy and one of them is me. Phyllis has finally been caught for one of her misdeameanors and I say congratulations to Christine for making it happen, go get her Cricket and squash the red ant once and for all. Phyllis does not deserve a rewrite that clears her and make Christine look like a fool and it should be the other way around and Phyllis ends up with egg on her face. Christine has never been a fool but some of Phyllis's bonehead moves sure points the finger at her in the fool category!

Yep , Red will rise to the top! Cricket is no match for Phyllis. If Phyllis wanted Cricket dead back then , she would be. If Cricket thinks this will ruin Phyllis she is wrong..glad this is coming out in the open , MS will rock this storyline.

Apparently not because Phyllis is a bungler. She bungled the attempt at killing Christine just like she more recently bungled her attempt to get her hands on Lucy. Her silly plan to get Daisy back but then leave her rot in jail backfired on her.

I do agree that this is a great opportunity for MS to show her acting chops. I hope she does a good job of it, so far she seems to be.

I think she just meant to scare Cricket. If she had wanted her dead she would have backed up and ran over her good. Or she would have found another way to kill her.

And IA , MS is doing a great job with this storyline , as she always does.

She meant to scare cricket by driving a car into her?? Are you saying that Phyllis is so dumb that she didn't realize that driving a car directly into someone, at a good speed, was likely to injure or kill them?

Because the flashback from the past clearly showed there was room to swerve and Phyllis just drove straight at her, so the idea that she just wanted to go near her to scare her is not going to wash.

She probably didn't back up because she thought Chris was dead or so seriously injured that she would not recover and, by hanging around longer, it was more likely that she would be caught.

Well , if someone drove a car into me , I'm pretty sure I would be scared.. I'm saying that if Phyllis wanted Cricket dead , and she didn't kill her with the car , then she would have found a way to kill her later on. Obviously she knew she didn't kill Cricket , but she didn't try again. And if she had really wanted Cricket dead , then Cricket would be dead.

She wanted her dead at the time of the hit and run....she later realized she failed, was disappointed, but realized I can't try again, I'm gonna get caught.

Killers are usually weak they don't try it again, at least not with the same person. She was lucky with Sasha but failed with Christine, it must of been hard for her.

i know some ex-cons who know what it's like to pull themselves up from the depths of where they once were and live a life of value. they are so much above phyl's level and they would never defend her either and would be blown away by the degree to which some fans excuse her behavior! it's one thing when we can tell that the posts are speaking only about the show, but some defending really does seem to reflect real-life values, and that is scary....and would be to some who know what it's really like to live behind bars!

Interesting real life occurrence, which touches tangentially to the question of how long should it be before one doesn't bother to prosecute a crime; In a city near where I live they have, just a day os so ago arrested 2 men for a murder committed 34 years ago.

They got a lead, in the cold case, which lead to a warrant and, when they arrested the men and searched their house, they found a number of chemicals and explosive devices. They have had to evacuate surrounding houses while they continue to search the house and remove any other explosives or hazardous materials.

This was murder, not attempted murder, so it's not exactly the same situation but I would say, in this case, it is a good thing that the police didn't just say. "oh well, it was 34 years ago let's just let it go."

read what all the stuff that Phyllis has done and got away with. She probably will get away with this as well. Although I disagree but she is like a cat except she has 100 lives instead of 9.

Bribed a friend to fix paternity tests of her son Daniel (1995)
Attempted murder by hit and run of Christine and Paul Williams; never discovered (December 1994)
Blackmailed psychiatrist Dr. Tim Reid (1996)
Breaking and entering hotel room of Chris and Paul while on their honeymoon in Nevis (1996)
Paid off Sasha Green $20,000 to leave town and not expose the paternity test she had falsified (1997)
Murder of Sasha Green - suspect, but never charged (1997)
Drugged Daniel's real father, Brian Hamilton to get blood for another paternity test (1997)
Lost custody of her son Daniel and was declared an unfit mother due to a falsified paternity test (1997)
Arranged abduction and captivity of Michael Baldwin; he never pressed charges (1998)
Tried for attempted murder of Diane Jenkins by arson; acquitted; Diane had set the fire and framed Phyllis (2002)
Arrested for conspiracy to commit attempted murder of Dominic Hughes and obstruction of justice; charges dropped
Blackmailed Brad Carlton over his tryst with Sharon Newman to get him to vote Neil onto the Newman Board; found guilty, sentence overruled, released from prison
Breaking and entering Sharon's room at the GCAC and cutting up her clothes
Stole photos and published them without permission; lawsuit filed, and Phyllis was arrested; made a deal with Ricky to drop the lawsuit
Arrested for obstruction of justice in the Diane Jenkins murder case; detained in jail and released later that day; charges were dropped a few days later
