I can't help but wonder why Sharon is stealing again if she is as happy as she claims. I think she is feeling the pressure from Adam's impending marriage. She had her chance with him but she pushed him away because she could not handle the fact that he had knew about Patty being in town and didn't turn her in. I don't make wxcuses for the things Adam did in the past. He did horrible things but Sharon had said she forgave him, then she couldn't deal with the Patty stuff. He wanted to make it work with her but she walked away. Kind of like when she and Nick first split up all those years ago. Nick did not want a divorce but Sharon insisted. Then when he moved on with Phyllis Sharon decided she wanted him back. She always wants what she can't have. I say she needs to leave Adam alone and let him be happy with Chelsea and continue to try and be a better person.

Sharon isn't happy at all and that is why she steals the necklace. This appears to be a life long issue for her according to her mother and what we have been shown ourselves.

There is something in Sharon's psyche that causes her to "blank out " and steal when she is under severe stress. It isn't due to having a weak character but due to a mental instability either caused by a physical issue or some sort of severe emotional trauma in her past. JMHO.

Obviously she isn't happy right now, thus the stealing and blank stare. But I really hope this time around they address the problem. I hope that's what all the buzz about her upcoming storyline is about.

Sharon has not been truly happy since Cassie died and Nick left her, IMHO. Some people think Adam has replaced Nick as the new love of her life and they may be right, but I believe it is and always has been, Nicholas. Why the writers wrote the disgusting Shictor relarionship is beyond my comprehension, but it is what it is, and thankfully is about to end.

I hope the writers have concocted a feasible explanation for Sharon's bizarre behavior the past few years and that she will FINALLY become the stronger person we were promised a year and more ago.

I agree with what you are saying about Sharon having some instability that causes her to steal when she feels pressure. HAving said that I still think Sharon suffers from wanting what she can't have. She had Nick but then insisted on a divorve after he had a fling with Phyllis. I'm not saying he was right for having the affair, but he did want to save their marriage and she did not. Forget the fact that they had both cheated on each other repeated times before. Then once Nick moved on she wanted him back.

Then she moved on to Adam. She forgave him for all the crimes in his past they were one again off again because she was drawn back to Nick several times. But then they got together when Adam lost his sight. It looked like they were going to make a commitment. Sharon had forgin him for everything and then it came out that he knew Patty was in town and did not turn her ( a small thing in comparision to all the other things she forgave) But she could not handle it and she dumped him.

He tried to get her to work things out with him but she kept pushing him away and she ended up with Vitor. Now that Adam has someone else in his life all o fa sudden Sharon is thinking she made a mistake. She has not come right out and said that yet, but I see it coming to that.

    She brings it on herself

I agree that she brings a lot of it on herself. However that could be traced back to the initial event or the illness that has traumatized her.

For example: some women who are molested as children grow up with very poor or non existent self-esteem and unconsciously chose destructive habits or men because they believe they don't deserve better.

I felt so bad for Sharon when she was in jail and going through the storyline of being accussed of killing Skye. She was trying to be strong and do the right thing. Now she has fallen back into her old habits of being a self centered harpy. I know she is acting this way because of some deep seated emotianl proble, but how long can that excuse last. She has gotten treatment, even speant time in an institution. she has had therapy and supposedly gotten treatment so why is she not recognizing the signs?

Therein lies the problem with mental instability. So many times, the person does NOT recognize the signs in their own self.
