Phyllis is a horrible friend

There is an incredible hatred for Phyllis by a handful of Phyllis haters who come to this board everyday and start bash Phyllis threads. There must be at least five or six a day. I don't disrespect them for not knowing the difference between Michelle Stafford and Phyllis Newman but the hatred is so diluted between the two, that one always gets the impression that they really don't know the difference between them. I have seen so many comments and tweets to Michelle, where they even call her Phyllis! It isn't about respecting or not respecting these poor fans who harbor this kind of dilluted hatred. It is about having empathy for thier loose grip on the reality of the difference. There is no bashing of MS in this thread. It's bashing Phyllis the character which is within the rules. |

What do you call a person who intentionally runs over an innocent Woman and leaves her for dead? And shows absolutely no remorse about it. And actually blames the victim. I am sorry but that is a Psychopath. And that is jusy 1 of Phyllis's many evil crimes. A decent human being doesn't do something like that. When you or anybody referes to any soap character as "A decent human being" it is a stretch on every count. At any given time, any character on a soap opera would behave just as Phyllis did. In fact, most have. Didn't Kaye Chancellor drive her husband over a cliff and kill him? Didn't Jack Abbott actually watch old Vic dying on the floor and just walk over him as he left his office? Again, Jack Abbot knew that old Vic was loosing touch with reality and used that to take NVP from him. Lauren Fenmore killed Sheila Carter and never looked back. She would have killed Daisy and wouldn't have even blinked. Sharon Newman killed a man and coerced Nikki to help her hide the body. While she did't kill him, she thought she did and she tried to cover it up. If you look in to Jill's past, she has done so many things to Kaye throughout the years, it would surprise you. This show has been on daytime for so many years, these characters have all done things yet you are single minded, focused solely on Phyllis. If you were a true fan of this show, you would know that there are no good guys on this soap opera or any other one, for that matter. Every character has sanity and insanity, that is what good soap is all about. It is dark, high drama. Phyllis isn't the only or the worst bad guy on this soap or any other. That is the reality. |

She is putting her son first so she's a bad friend? Let me guess, had she choose Micheal over her son she would be a bad Mother? She can never win with you haters. Whenever Micheal was going through problems with Kevin and Lauren (when the crazy lady switched places with her) PHYLLIS was there for him the whole time. And when someone so much as breathes on Jack wrong she's at his side as well. I guess you forgot about that.

She is by far the worst out of all of them. There is nobody on the show I hate more than her and Sharon. She is the same as before even now by lying to her own son about the car accident. |

Phyllis survived and that very same night, instead of taking care of herself, she left with Michael to go help rescue Jana and Lauren. To say nothing of how she saved Sharon's life, not just once! Or how she stood by Nick during his times in jail and even tolerated Sharon to help find out about Hightower's killer. She found out that Adam kidnapped Faith and told Nick and Sharon so that they could have thier child back. Phyllis has taken alot of garbage off Sharon that she didn't deserve and yet she saved her life and actually was the one who went with Adam to help find evidence to free the idiot. And in the end, she was the one who uncovered the evidence to get her free from prison. Phyllis is a great and forgiving human being and she is a very loyal friend. |

I agree about Phyllis being a horrible friend. I love to watch Phyllis and her constant crises (generally self-caused) but I can't understand how she has any friends at all. She has thrown everyone of them under the bust a time or two or three. But I still love to see her in action, just because of MS, I think! |

Now that Ricky is gone who is currently worse than her? Her list of crimes surpasses anybody on this show by far. Even Adam's doesn't really come close to her's. Here is a list of Phyllis's crimes to my knowledge. 1.Drugging Danny 2.Drugging Daniel's real Father. 3.Tampering with DNA results in NY 4.Tampering with DNA results in GC 5.Breaking into Chris and Paul's honeymoon suite and sticking an octopus in their bed. 6.Breaking into Sharon's hotel room and shreading her clothes. 7.Blackmailing Dr Reid. 8.Blackmailing Brad. 9.Bribing Dr Reid to leave town 10.Stealing photos from a courtroom 11.Speeding while impersonating a man so she could visit one of Damon's enemies to get info off him. 12.Attempted murder of Christine 13.Murder of Sasha Green or atleast manslaughter. 14.Having Michael kidnapped. 15.Blackmailed Dru concerning Lily's real paternity. So yes calling her a Psychopath is not really a stretch. |
