Quote Its not real
Quote lisa diane: I know what you saying because he has been part of Y and R for so long, maybe if they would give us a break from time to time but they show him every single day and i get tired of seeing him, but as I mentioned before I didn't miss him the last time he was gone, the show went on and the storylines went on. I think a bunch of fans here would agree that he wasn't missed.
I think a bunch of the fans here would NOT AGREE that he WAS missed.
Yet again, I think a bunch of fans would miss Victor very much.
Well it certainly sounds as if you would miss Victor, and there may be many more out there like you but, I'd like to get a vote in here for the other side.
I've been watching Y&R for over 25 years and I would be more than happy to see Victor gone or at least to see his appearances cut down to a minimum.
For one thing, I think it is time for some of the older actors to take a back seat and let the new generation move into the forefront. The show is "The Young and the Restless" and was IMO intended to be about young guns, in that part of their life where they are establishing themselves and finding their way, in business and relationships.
In the last few years it has become largely about idiots who are old enough to know better, but are still acting like ignorant young fools and continuously messing up their lives and relationships.
For another thing in the last few years the writers have turned Victor into a cartoon character. Victor was always arrogant but now he is completely over the top ridiculous in the way he interfers everywhere, has connections all over and pulls strings all the time and gets away with it all ( not to mention the way every woman on the show can't resist his crusty 70-something-year-old charms).
His character has become a giant farce and, for me at least, virtually unwatchable.
