I think a bunch of fans here would agree that he wasn't missed.

I think a bunch of the fans here would NOT AGREE that he WAS missed.

Yet again, I think a bunch of fans would miss Victor very much.

Well it certainly sounds as if you would miss Victor, and there may be many more out there like you but, I'd like to get a vote in here for the other side.

I've been watching Y&R for over 25 years and I would be more than happy to see Victor gone or at least to see his appearances cut down to a minimum.

For one thing, I think it is time for some of the older actors to take a back seat and let the new generation move into the forefront. The show is "The Young and the Restless" and was IMO intended to be about young guns, in that part of their life where they are establishing themselves and finding their way, in business and relationships.

In the last few years it has become largely about idiots who are old enough to know better, but are still acting like ignorant young fools and continuously messing up their lives and relationships.

For another thing in the last few years the writers have turned Victor into a cartoon character. Victor was always arrogant but now he is completely over the top ridiculous in the way he interfers everywhere, has connections all over and pulls strings all the time and gets away with it all ( not to mention the way every woman on the show can't resist his crusty 70-something-year-old charms).

His character has become a giant farce and, for me at least, virtually unwatchable.

A lot of people want Victor to be on every day.

I am not sure I would want Victor gone forever but I usually dont mind when he takes his little breaks. The storylines often make me roll my eyes but I do enjoy the break from the dictator.

I have suffered through Phick, Shadam, and many many horrible s/l's and have stuck w/ the show. Some of my favs have come and gone etc. BUT EB leaving for good would be the ONLY thing that would make me stop watching. IMO he IS the YR. The business s/l's would be a snooze w/o Victor, in fact all of GC would be a snooze IMO if not for Victor pulling the strings. JMO

I disagree. I am so tired of him.

ITA. It is well past time for youger actors to be brought to the show. Jack and Victor round 1999999,0000 is boring. While we are watching that nonsense, women like Avery and Heather have no single guys to date.

Quote flygirl1969: Where exactly is EB going to go? There are 4 soaps left on the air and their casts are full. He is on nearly everyday and involved in nearly all s/ls. He gets love scene with women half his age and gets to beat up men 40 years his junior and his character always wins. He isn't going anywhere! I loved the show when he was off for an extended time and would likely watch more often if I knew he'd be featured less. Why can't he take a step back and let a new generation shine. That's what is happening on BB and I enjoy it. EB is not the Y&R and it will go on without him. IMO

Why can't EB do what most people his age do, RETIRE!

I could stand a little down time from Victor (and Sharon.)

I think he should be put on recurring status and let the young ones be showcased.

Don't have to get rid of him, just see less of him.
