I realize Nick was just a kid when Phyllis did her nasty deeds behind the wheel of a car, but he had to have heard that story. If nothing else, Nikki would have brought it up when she was trying to prevent their first marriage. She was pulling out all the stops. Let's keep the history straight. |

I think he just knows she is a little crazy but he doesn't know how crazy! he actually thinks having a nutty wife is cute. it's a little luxury of being so privileged - being with a gal who provided some shock value and kicks was part of the original charm, i'm sure, and it makes him feel like he's not like other stuffy rich people. now, he's at the point where there's no way he'd ever let himself see the deeper truth of who she really is - at his age, looking deeply would mean admitting to himself what a shallow fool and ass he's been. and right now he's measuring his own decency by how he will stick by her no matter what - he's got a very screwed-up notion of what commitment means and thinks that, after all his past failings at being a real man, he knows what a real man is and tolerating her and defending her no matter what will get him a gold star. so, at this point phyl could do anything - the most despicable crime - and he'd find a way to accept it. |

Nikki wouldn't have told Nick or anyone else because Nikki didn't know, no one knew that Phyllis was the driver of the hit & run. Phyllis left no trail. She erased the records of the rental before the cops got there(I have no idea why she would have still had the receipt LOL) |

Exactly Noony.... no one knows about the hit and run. She has been hiding that tid bit for over 20 years! I think its hysterical that she would keep that receipt too, lol. |
