Y&R did NOT fare well at the Emmys

His response was the toilet tissue holder reason and that Adam can see but it is like looking thru a tiolet paper tube because he has no periferal vision I was NEVER rude to him and I still have copies of both our tweets to prove it. I have never said I like MM, in fact I don't like him. He is not a person I want to know personallly or ever meet. Yeah I'm sure you would say he would probably say the same about me, but you know what...I couldn't care less as he doesn't make my day and my life doesn't depend on him for any part of my existence and happiness. |

I think it was the writers. The kids grew up too too fast which was too weird even for a soap opera, Jack shouldn't be in a wheelchair this long,Nikki shouldn't be going back to Jack, Chloe marrying Kevin was a big no no, taking Ronan and Chance out of the show (2 good looking guys) was bad, why doesn't Sharon get with Sam? He was perfect for her. Sharon and Victor is incest togetherr. Chelsea went from bad to good too fast. Adam fared better with a woman like Sky was. Take Abby out of the show instead of Ashley. I love Y&R but I haven't cared for how they are teaming up the couples lately. I didn't want Neal and Sophia broken up. Harmony needs to go. |

the writting for one to many boaring and long drown out story lines.veiwers know how the plot ends before we see it. y&r has been on top for so long they hae taken it for granted they can stay there as they can tell with the emmys not getting the wins its time to step up before it two is canceled. we all love y&r but we want to see phyliss get hers, summer be jacks beause nick had a head enjury from the plain crash and just wanted a daughter to replace cassie. but he has faith we saw he and sharron getting close but the writters once again had phylisss become prego stopped hat reunion. put sharron back with nick and nick back at newman victor back on top and a good plot that keeps on the edge where we didn't seethat comeing. |

How rude and disrespectful to Anthony Geary. Actors earn nominations based on the quality of their work -- not age or a spoiled sense of entitlement like Michael Muhney has displayed. |

He needs to zip it when it comes to putting down others. A big mouth doesn't get anyone far in this industry, no matter how good they are or think they are. Well said! |

MM needs to learn Grace!When I see SPF on his Comic-Con appearances on You Tube,he's very humble,even wondering why people rave over his work and come to see him!On one,he mentioned he's just an actor doing a part,the 9-11 Firemen where the real heros!I like that,and I love SPF and Tony Geary as well!He sorely deserved his EMMY for his work when he ran someone down because of his drinking!!When hasn't TG been great on GH!!He's been on since 1979,and is very experienced!!I'm just glad he won,and someone needs to learn some humility!! |

The way they have changed Sharon's character is a big reason. The so called affair with Victor does not help either. Nick not seeing the real Phyllis is ridiculous as well. Y & R needs new writers....even Nikki has changed and there are no loyal / normal relationships on the show with the exception of Cane and Lily and Katherine and Murphy. |

Quote Stemp: The writing has never been WORSE. I will never forgive them for first breaking up Shick, now Shadam. I'm going to stop watching altogether bc there is no payoff. It's just painful to watch. Adam and Chelsea are an enormous BORE; PHyllis never has to really pay for her crimes. Sharon isnt' even the same character. She NEVER would have slept with Victor imo. It's just a shame. Eden is so dull I was bummed Ricky didn't kill her and why do they ax the villains? Ricky was at least interesting like Adam was in the beginning. Avery and Phyllis were far more intriguing as sparring sisters but they made them soft and predictable. Really, why watch? It's just mundane, and rote. Too bad. Someone really dropped the s/ls. Some of them had potential. Really miss Shadam and can't believe we have no villain. And get Jack outta that chair already. The only halfway interesting thing that happened was Carmine loading Chloe into the trunk of his car like a suitcase. That was both shocking and comical. You have really nailed all of my complaints quite well in this posting. Like you said, just as you get invested in a couple and start to finally get a payoff, Y&R goes in a completely different direction and not in a good way. Just a FEW examples of MANY: first it was Nick and Sharon reuniting w/Faith on the way and finally getting hypocrite Phyllis out of their lives, then oh wait, no. Adam starts to really grow on me and he and Sharon slowly build a relationship with great potential, making Sharon finally have some credibility and bringing out the best in Adam. Then, whiplash again, we have Nick as a possibility with them working together and having family time, now Victor, and on and on until we just don't care. Sharon and Adam were great and even though lots of others disagree at least they could have stuck with the "investment." Now, I don't care at all about Chadam, because 1, the relationship is dull and 2, it's just another in a long line, and who knows what will be next. Yes it's a soap, but that's what's always made Y&R best...it's SLOW BUILD on SLs, not 90mph, then turn, whiplash and start over w/someone new. Their history in their family storylines is their strength and they are moving away from it. I don't watch any other soaps b/c when I've tried they've bored me and who has time? I love Y&R but this is my 2 cents as to maybe partly why they have been overlooked more this year than most years. Love Adam though and wish they wouldn't water him down. Nothing personal against Chelsea but a boring character now. Also love Ricky....great addition to the cast--smart, devious and doesn't try to act like he's holier than thou like the rest of the town!

MM is a talented smart actor who has a right to express his opinions, and he is obviously closer to what is actually going on than any of you are. Unless you make your livelihood in soaps I'd say he knows slightly more than you do, and just maybe he has a point. Consider that he just might be right. Just b/c you like AGeary, or whomever it is, doesn't mean you need to sling nasty grams to MMuhney for voicing his concern, knowing it will not win him any new fans or any points "politically" in the business. I respect him for that.
