Avery is such a gorgeous woman, and she is written as an intelligent attorney. When is she going to get an intriguing story line that is devoted to her? I'm tired of seeing her as handmaiden prop for Phyllis. I thought she was going to have some spunk when she hit the scene, but TPTB have watered her down. |

and as much as i do want to see both she and heather doing their lawyer thing and in a courtroom, i really hope what we get with the characters is not always this as their main stories. and i want to see avery with someone but someone new - i hate the thought of her with someone who's been recycled so many times. a new lawyer (not vance) or someone she'd normally not cross paths with or see herself getting involved with would be great. and i'd love to see yr start using a setting that is her OWN home! she's always elsewhere. and i wish a number of characters had their own places and didn't just board at the athletic club. i'd like to see a new main character such as avery finally have her OWN darn living room and shelves filled with knickknacks, etc.! |

Fab post! I agree on all counts. When they tried to pair her with Nick, I cringed and puked in my mouth. How can she have a decent conversation with either of them, knowing that she laid her sister's ex? Awkward! Right now, they're treating her like a totally throw-away, secondhand character. What do you think of her with Jack? I'm hesitant to suggest coupling her with a new character because the show is already so bloated with useless characters. Maybe she can take Billy from Boretoria. |

Quote debrajean: i vote for avery and paul they have some chemistry If they put Avery with Paul, maybe they could have a kid and Paul could finally get the chance to raise a kid right there in GC and get it right and stop with all the angst about not having been around for his other kids. Bet Avery would not like that her new favorite sissy tried to run Paul over though and ruin his loins for possible future child making. Remember that, after Phyl ran him and Christine down, he was screwed up in the man parts department? I think he was paralyzed or impotent or something and he told Chris it wouldn't be fair to marry her anymore. It was so long ago I am not sure if I am remembering this correctly. |

I wish they had their own homes too. I watched ATWT 20-30 years ago and I remember them making the different homes a core part of the show too. I think Y&R scrimps on the money as far as not building new sets. Every time I see Neal's aptartment & Victor's living room, which I think were last updated in the 1980's, I want to gut the places and renovate them. I really want to rip out Neal's kitchen cabinets and knock some walls down. So dark and cramped. He's a successful guy with money. What's he doing in that same tiny old apartment? Victor's a billionaire but he's still living with the same surprise makeover Jack did to the ranch living room for Nikki when they were married a zillion years ago??! Looks like 1980's Laura Ashley design. And we are supposed to believe Victor has this palatial home but the foyer, living room and staircase look like a $150,000 house. Michael and Lauren's place is dated also and then all those people just shacking up at the Club. So boring. |
