Maybe someone wrote in & also demanded that Sharon be degraded to Phyllis's level to "even the playing field"? The writers tried to deliver but no one could make Sharon as bad as the disgusting pig of a character that is Phyllis. Yes she is sometimes entertaining but often as an unwitting comic. The best laughs I have ever had on Y&R are some of Phyllis's most dramatic scenes. Like her miscarriage. I watched the first run soberly but when I happened to see it a second time I realized that it was so over the top that it was hilarious.
I do not find Sharon or Cricket "boring" and I do happen to like "good" people or at least those who struggle to do the right thing.
I did like the expressions on Phyllis's & Daniel's faces when Daisy was telling Phyllis she knew about her running down Paul & Christine. Up til then, Daisy was relying partly on guess work but Phyllis's face did tell her she had hit pay dirt. Good work all around. But, it sounds as if, instead of realizing that what Daisy has done is no worse than what Phyllis has done, poor dumb Daniel is buying into the "it was an accident" story & more determined than ever to "get" Daisy. Phyllis plays Daniel & Nick like fiddles. Don't they get it that even if Daisy did hear Phyllis hollering, she was not legally obligated to do anything about it? And that calling 911 to come break the door down would not have saved a doomed tiny fetus in a woman at high risk for a bad outcome no matter what?

Everyone being so up in arms over that miscarriage and who "caused it" is such a joke. A woman who should actually be a bit past child bearing years had an unexpected pregnancy that was doomed from the first. The mistake was corrected and now they seem to have found their villain. How silly and unreasonable is that? If there even was an at fault party, it would have been Phyllis but I doubt that even if she'd done things differently the outcome would have been. It just wasn't meant to be.

Just because a character isn't evil or manipulative doesn't make them perfect. Some of us like to see the more wholesome characters. They are more real to me than the continual parade of things that some of them get away with on an every day basis!

Christine, along with maybe Lily are 2 of the ONLY decent, wholesome, non-manipulative people in town. So why do they need to mess with that? There are plenty of more "exciting" characters lurking around doing all the mischievous acts to keep everyone else entertained. Not to mention that she's only on a few weeks at a time every other year or so. It's not like she's being thrown in our faces like some other characters who get majority of the air time!

It would be just as silly IMO for me to ask that they take a bunch of the manipulative characters such as Adam, Phyllis or Ricky & turn them into goody goodies...I wouldn't expect the writers to do that, because they have a good mix of villains, heroes & gray characters going.

Like I said though, she's only on every now and then, so it shouldn't be that big of a deal to either ignore her, or FF through her scenes.
