THIS disgusts me as a longtime viewer, that the spin being put on Phyllis is to make her so much more benign than she ever has been or truly is. Can't stand her. I cant stand her either!... What make want Phyllis brought down more than I do any other character on this show is for her hypocrisy, and selfishness. How SELFISH of her, to think only of her butt being caught in the sling for her wrong doings and only for an excuse to get out of it, to COMPARE what she's done to what happened to Daniel. Daniel was hurt and grieved about Cassies death, and he was innocent. Phylls knows that, and there is NO similarity between the two... I may not be able to watch this today when t airs in the U.S, because I hate seeing cry and lie all the time. And if it was an accident she would have at least acted Sorry about it. Nope, was only interested in putting her "spin" on what happened.  She has alot of nerve to judge Daisey. well put, and she was a real adult while daniel was still a teen in high school. the whole thing about swerving and there being nowhere to go - her saying this while we were watching the old footage - was hilarious. the streets were deserted and that car was moving straight as an arrow! she wanted chris dead. why interfere with chris's wedding the next day if she was insecure - she should have wanted chris up at the altar asap! |

I just printed out this whole thread.. taking it to work to show a few people who love when i bring this stuff.. they cannot believe how serious people take this show..the hate is so off the charts it is scary but it is freaking entertaining in a sick kind of way.. kind of like watching a bad accident If I was one of your co workers I would be laughing at the troll who has so much hatred for a fictional character, Sharon, that she has been banned 242 times, yet still takes the time to sign up yet again to spew her Sinny blurbs that make absolutely no sense, and spew her hatred for that fictional character; now that is laughable. I can just imagine them walking away and shaking their heads in amazement at such foolishness. LOL it is funny cuz one of the girls pointed you out as sounding bitter over this show  they already know I am crazy.. I would rather be crazy over bitter Well that really says it all.  Lol. Yup.

Phyllis has her defence all planned for when the truth about the hit and run comes out.All the witnesses were lying when they said she was going straight for Christine and didn't try to slow down or swerve to avoid hitting her.Of course she wasn't trying to kill Christine.She hated her,but just wanted to scare her.In a panic she hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.She was there for Daniel when Cassie died,but no one was there for her when she hit Christine and Paul.She'll cry buckets of tears and say she's sorry and expect to be forgiven. |

If Daniel believes her he is as dumb as they come. Why? It that is the story the current writers are telling, then she is not lying. Just like Nikki telling Sharon she wanted toughen her up to so she could be a Newman or something like that. Come on, Nikki thought Sharon was goldding trash and didn't want her anywhere near her son. But the writers changed that. So what? So for some of us who have watched for a long time it is ridiculous to chop and change history like this. If there is going to be no continuity, why even pretend that these are the same characters? Why not just start a new story line, with completely different characters every week? The thing about continuing series type shows is that many people watch because they become invested in the characters.To completely change who they are, and who they have been, at the whim of the writers will destroy what so many love about the show. Even primetime shows, which air just once a week, would feel a huge outcry if they were just to rewrite their characters history. And soaps, which many watch every weekday for years, depend even more on dedicated viewers who know the characters and feel invested in them. Of course the writers CAN do this if they want, the same as they could decide to write that the sky is purple, or that Phyllis has magic powers and can turn her enemies into frogs, or that Victor Newman is really an alien who has been masqerading as a human for all these years but, if they do so, I think they risk losing most of their fans. On the other hand they seem to be going out of their way to try to drive fans away so, maybe re-writing this history, is just another step in their plan to get this show cancelled. |

This is why reruns are never a good idea but since MAB is so bent on this, she will stand the consequences of screwing it up. I really believe that MAB had all kinds of opportunities to write some good stories for Phyllis and Nick but she can't write, she has no vision and so here we are, stuck with a rerun just to please a handful of Phaters. What I find so extremely strange about what she is doing is what she is gambling to loose. She can't afford to loose anymore than she already has and she ain't showing any signs of gaining much of anything. It would be so nice to see this show progress rather than be rerun and wound backwards. For some stupid reason, MAB thinks that we all want to live in the twentieth century. Even Mr. Bell himself wouldn't have wanted that! |
