Quote noony6: I was very shocked that she didn't even get a nomination! I was actually pretty surprized by the entire list...there were so many that deserved to be nominated over those that did. It just made no sense to me. Some of the newbies that have barely had 2 weeks worth of scenes by the time the announcements went out were on the list. It's crazy!

I love MS & think she's been amazing in just about everything they've given her, and I don't want this to diminish how amazing I think she is...but I completely agree that they use her way too much. She has scored more than a few awards to back that up, but she hasn't won since 2004. Perhaps it's time to showcase someone else that is just as talented but hasn't been given the chance to shine?

This doesn't mean that she's not still amazing!! It doesn't mean that she shouldn't be getting a good s/l every year, but it doesn't need to be the whole show.

On any given day on this MB, when regular posters want to talk about the character Phyllis, we get bashed because we do not worship the actress either. We almost can't say nothing bad about Phyllis without it turning into" well MS is the best actress... or MS is an emmy winnng actrees... and MS is this and that..'.. and while I agree she is good, so are all the others lead actors. I also think its unfortunate that TPTB, have spent so much time and energy investing the storyline material on One major Actor, without thoughtfully developing quality storylines for other core or vetran actors. Its like they have banked everything on MS. Hasnt any one else noticed how over the top the majority of her scenes are?.. I mean really, everything is highly dramatic.
