    I think the writers see lots of s/l potentials for the Villians.I have read some viewers don't like the way Sharon
    is portrayed,but Sharon was always trying to get her hooks in Victor so that's nothing new.I guess for Shadam well you never know where you will find love,and its usually found in some of the most strangest places.Phyllis isn't going to change unless she becomes a gray character.Phyllis is a Villian.Usually Villians the writers probably see simular to the six million dollar man.We can rebuild them make them stronger,better,faster,and badder.Of Course Steve Austin the six million dollar man was a good guy.I think the way
    an Actor is portrayed is to test how much credibility they have.Like Gorgeous Ricky I find him to be a good addition to days.Ricky/PP is really delivering to me.I am in support of him growing a large fan base.When the producer sees huge fan bases they don't want to lose them for any reason.To be fair to the regular viewing base,if Ricky isn't going to get caught and be MAB hitman then Paul should be able to at least make Ricky sweat some.That would be called keeping an
    even balance between the regular viewing base and the fan base.

    Not the demise of Y&R, but a huge shifting.

    GONE are the days of the actors from the 80s and 90s calling the shots. If Eric Braeden wont take a pay cut, Victor Newman will go on a round the world tour. Josh Morrow wont say a-ok to a salary reduction, then Nick Newman might go off to Japan to oversee the merger of Newman Cosmetics with Mikoyashi. Etc etc.

    In other words, SONY/CBS will keep you around as long as you want to be, as long as you agree to work for almost free as an actor or actress.

    By Aug, Y&R will be Y&R: The Next Generation. Based around Summer, Fen, Kyle, Abby, and Ricky. With the middle-aged generation being advisors to the kids, and occasionally being spotlighted as they 'sleep around'. The older generation like Katherine and Jill will only be seen once a week, at most.

    My guess is Eileen Davidson already has an offer from DAYS, and is considering it. She has published 4 books, and has her endorsement deal from NuDerm, so she really doesn't need the money, like some of them.

    It be better for Ricky/PP to be on
    another Producers radar.I think Ricky
    is a wonderful addition to days.I love
    me some Ricky/PP,but I dont want the
    writers painting him into a corner.Ricky
    is a Villian so I dont think this one
    will be redeemed.I enjoy our exchanges.
    I hope I haven't sounded rude in anyway.

    The problem with the next generation on the Y&R (Daniel, Noah, Abby, Ricky, Daisy, Chloe, Chelsea, etc) is that
    they are missing charisma and appeal. They are more like cameo actors and actresses and will not hold the attention of the old timers which is important because the new generation are smart phone, Ipad and gadgets nerds and has a limited attention span to be real loyal fans. I know I am one of the younger geno's but I do like the old timers who are more stable and has a deep rooted history

    Oh Iwish to me Ricky is the best Gorgeous thing
    yet to hit Y&R.I notice how he has chrisma and charm.
    I do enjoy while Ricky is getting info on Phyllis Paul
    is getting investigating him though.Its time to let Paul
    shine some.Paul is a Veteran Actor that needs a good role.
    When the Vets get ready to retire or s/l potentialK runs out
    for them then the writers have to have new faces.When I
    watch the show I usually enjoy the different dynamics.Catherine/Jill Dynamic. Ricky/Daisy Dynamic.Before
    Ricky came along I hadn't seen that much excitment in a
    while.I mentioned maybe Brock should come back,to carry on
    the Chancelor name when Katherine leaves.Why not have Phillip back.I think those Actors coming back and seeing more family values would be down your alley.

    Today episode which focus on Sharon and her past is a real good example of How the writers took a good but not perfect character and turn her into a complete fool and the worst mother of all times. Plots about Sharon is a good example
    of why the ratings of the Y&R are declining. She has not seen bonding with her child at all and the writers should be ashamed of themselves

    Sharon was always loved her variety
    seasoning packets on the side,but it
    wasn't ok for Nick to do so.I really
    cant see how the writers ruined Sharon.
    Sharon has always been a mess.She was
    getting it on with the stable hand boy
    while married to Nick.Sharon was trying
    to get her hooks in Victor.MAB just continued
    to write our Drama Queen Sharon like she is.

    (Phyllis) I just hope that the writers can redeem themselves by having Ricky kidnap Phyllis and take her to the BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL

    Daisy goes into Phyllis pocketbook to get her house key which was conveniently seperate from other keys. The new Kyle who is more like a brat or a bad boy and is nothing like the old Kyle who was more mature. Jack has been paralyzed to long especially when it only took a week for Adam to get his sight back and last but not least when Paul who is concerned about Phyllis safety why he has not had his son Ricky followed since he is supposed the best private detective.
    Again another reason why the show is losing its appeal
