Yes, I agree. I think ED was one of the most beautiful women on this show (ever) and I will miss her. Ashley was always one of my favourite female characters. She was strong, smart, business savvy and a good mom. She was emotionally weak when it came to love, but that's not news for a lot of women.

Guess I should brace myself for the rest of my female favs to be canned.

I really love the way Ashley and Jack interact - such a close brother/sister....she will be missed! Hope she ends up back on DOOL!

Ashley will be missed by so many. She is beautiful and a wonderful actor. What are the writers thinking? So many new, undeveloped, uninteresting characters on the canvas and a long-term, loved character is let go. So sad.

I did not see this coming. She dressed so nice, so business like, sexy when needed.

This must have been upsetting to ED. I just hope they do not do something stupid and kill her off. That would not be a good idea at all.

No Ashely on Y&R IDK, she wasn't one of my favorite character, but neither is Niki and Phyllis, but I love the actess to play them. It will be hard not seeing ED leave.

It is a real shame that Y&R terminated Eileen. They keep pathetic characters like Daisy, Sofia and Harmony, but let go of a legend character, who is a member of the Abbot family and part of the foundation of Y&R.

Very dissapointed to hear this. ED IS Ashley Abbott, I would not want to see the character recast or killed off. This should never have happened. Ashley did the best acting I've ever seen on a soap during the whole baby switch/miscarriage gaslighting storyline. She is an awesome actress. Hope to see her back on Days as Kristin/Susan. She was fantastic in those roles as well! Best wishes to ED, she will be missed by so many of us.

Seems this show is on a downhill slope, so many new characters that we simply do not care for. Harmony and others stay while Ashley goes??? This will not sit will with so many of us fans.
