For phIck supporters to say Nick loves Phylthy is laughable to me. He is only with her now because Sharon chose Adam over him. So for the time being, he's trying to torment Sharon until he gets over it and decides he wants her again. Sharon and Nick will never truly be over each other - no matter how much they say it out loud to other people. They only say that to try convince themselves that it's true...until the next time they get together again. They will always love each other - make stupid decisions to ruin their relatonship and hurt each other. They will never be a forever couple - as much as I've loved Shick over phIck.

And of course phIck will never stay together either (thank God).

My screen shows an older woman (14 years by Y&R history), that has fixated herself on the younger man that was grieving the loss of his daughter. It started out as an affair, and he of course only wanted her for the sex. And being the conniving she-devil that she is, she conveniently got herself knocked up by him or JA. She knew Nick would want to "do the right thing" and marry her if it were "his kid". Tampered DNA again? Who really knows? So what if Nick were the only one to see the results. Only Phyllis and the lab tech would know.

I have never seen her as a strong woman either- esp paired with NN (never been strong IMO, just a bully). She gets very needy and whiny (just how she sees Sharon). It's not love that she feels for Nick he's just her current obsession.

I really wish they would find Phyllis a "grown-up" love interest. Nick is too much of a whipped little puppy when he is with Phyllis. It's like he's being led around by the nose by his master. It really makes me wanna throw up in my mouth a little bit. They truly bring out the worst in each other. She is much better with Jack Abbott or someone closer to her own age, IMO.

This pregnancy SL is just silly...and even worse is the marriage proposal. He first tells Sharon it's the right thing to do. He didn't even say that he loved Phyllis until Sharon said, "well, if it's for the right reasons". I think he just tries to convince himself that he loves Phyllis, so that he doesn't have to be alone. And so that he can hurt Sharon for her picking Adam over him (they're puke too). Haha.
I do like the actor MS, but I cannot stand the self-absorbed character that she portrays. And I really hate phIck as a couple because like I've said above - I see no love (IMO)...if I wanna see love-less porn-like scenes I can tune into a PPV channel on my tv. LOL!

he always makes huge proclamations and promises and wants to believe himself. it often feels as if he's telling himself that it's the right thing to believe and he should demonstrate that to her - it is as if he's working to convince himself that, this time by god, he's going to prove how good of a partner he can be. and it may be said that, because of his caring for sharon, he did need to prove he was committed to only phyl, but he would always look as if he did hear phyl's questioning of his commitment and wonder himself. i was waiting for him to finally snap and blast her for always demanding perfection but continually doing things she knew he didn't want done or that he objected to because she was acting immaturely and cruelly to others. ethically, they've always been far apart, and that is huge - it's mind-blowing that he'd marry her with such a difference and in real life such couples do not happen or do not make it if they do happen. but he seems to always shelve any objections and just to focus on the fact of summer's existence. that allows him to put certain disturbing things out of his mind. he's to be credited for making a commitment to someone, yet he seemed to have set himself the assignment of making sure it happened. and anytime there is a fetus or infant involved, that makes it so much easier for him because just like vic he's in love with the idea of producing children. if avery had become pregnant, although more than half of the country's children are born out of wedlock he would have bought a ring and proposed, both because he thought it was "the right thing to do" and because impregnating people makes him feel more romantic. with my phyl objection/distaste i'm not saying he should get together with sharon. i'm just saying that the relationship between phick has not seemed like true grown-up love to me. she has worked hard to stay young and be flirty and keep him intrigued and has added to this acting more and more needy, and his testosterone has responded. as well, it seems that he does still carry guilt about cassie and has since wanted to be a better parent. but he could move to where it's legal to be a polygamist and have any number of impregnated women as his wives.
