He is shocked to discover that his deadbeat father is living with his mother's killer.

Of course he would not live in the same house with the woman who bashed Diane in the head with a rock. So Kyle left Jack's place. It is understandable.

It is sad that Jack does not know his son. He never made any effort to raise Kyle or spend time with him. They never talked or kept in touch for 15 years.

This is all Jack's fault. He is a terrible parent and a disgrace.

Jack told Kyle, the boy whose mother was bludgeoned by Nikki, that there we extenuating circumstances. Well as I said dead is dead. The women were fighting and Nikki walks away and Diane didn't. Nikki should have been charged with something, maybe involuntary manslaughter but instead she just walked. Kyle has every right to be upset that "Jack is so happily holding the hand that killed his mother" LOVED when Kyle said that. It's sad to me that Jack will put Nikki ahead of his relationship with his son. Jack is Nikki's consolation prize, clearly her second choice, but Jack is ok with potentially losing Kyle to be with a woman who will sooner or later return to Victor.
