I would love to have a diary... My mom has her grand mothers bible and she wrote what is was like to assist her sister in Death. Creepy... huh? I love that show... It is one of my fav shows! My children are 1/8 Shawnee Indian.... My husband's family on both sides are Native American.... I did the DNA blood testing and found out that my mothers bloodline is Egyptian... Just can not wait until Monday... I'll be digging through Census all day! |

We all have to die and to have someone "assist" you would be so comforting, I should think. A lot of the women in my family start to see and talk with dead family members when they are close to death. I hope that happens to me too. Many Native Americans were very spiritual. |

Quote countryMomof4: Good eveng Patt and welcome! That is so interesting that your mother's bloodline is Egyptian. Such a beautiful country, so rich in history. Do you know fs it is from recent Egypt or is it in one of the Indian strains from ancient Egypt? Some people think Egyptians made it to this hemisphere and that the pyramids in Mayan country were built by people of Egyptian descent. So many interesting things. Some think some of the Jews who fled Spain during one of the Inquistions came to North America and merged with Indians. There is Chinese DNA in some Indian tribes and China supposedly sent an expedition around the world about 100 years before Columbus arrived in the New World. Some say the maps used by the early European explorers came from China. I have a book of pictures of Indians that were painted during the early years of discovery in this country and there is a vast difference in the looks & cultures of different tribes. Some of them look quite European but I guess there was intermingling from the moment Europeans set foot on this continent. I find it all so fascinating. |

Blue, my Grandpa died when I was nine, my brother and I were heartbroken. We didn't understand how Grandma was so calm. Me in my little girl way asked Grandma if she was sad, she said yes, but Grandpa was still there, she felt him next to her. I earned later that the belief in his family was that they stayed with their loved ones for four days and after four days they left never to return. Also at that time I was sick and throwing up, I was walking to the bathroom to throw up and was crying at the same time. I heard my Gramdpa say my name and a hand on my shoulder, when I turned to look, noone was there. |
