Hi grammy,once you get started talking about it you can go on for hours,and learn all kinds of small things that suddenly make sense, NBC has a very good show on Ancestry "Who Do You Think You Are" it started in the UK...it was picked up by Canadian "CBC" then was picked up in the US two years ago.I was watching a couple of weeks it was Rob Low he was looking for the maternal side of his family with the help of researchers he was able to trace his 5th great grandfather back to the Revolution he was German (a fact unknown to Rob) the British had hired a Division of troops to help with the fight.there were 13,000 troops,they arrived as the British were in Phildelphia,Washington was advancing and had reached the Potomac,he was aware the extra troops had arrived so he came up with a bold plan to advance at night and take them by surprise,the troops were captured and held until the end of the war when they were given the choise to swear allegiance to the USA or return to Germany,most stayed now the 5th great grandfather of my children set sail for Canada across the great lakes and landed at the southern most point of Ontario.It was formerly Indian Territory and they were one of the first families.

I was just on the phone to Wombat. V helped me & between the two of us, it took about ten tries to finally get it right. I don't think I have made an international call in 30 years. It was so good to hear her voice but I really had to struggle to understand her. She thinks her surgery will be early next week. She is going to try to sign on & say something to us before then. Hello & goodbye she said, just in case. I said "No goodbyes! We want you back!"

Good morning. It was so good to have a chance to wish Wombat luck before her serious surgery. I am sure we are all pulling for her.Things are just not the same when she is not around, snarking at us.
I have brought a platter of lemon/poppyseed muffins. If you get pinged for a random drug test today, be sure & mention that you had some. The poppyseed can cause a false positive, I hear. Peruvian Ignacio coffee today, with Baileys & Cream. Slices of water melon. Russian Caravan tea. Have a good day all.

Well those all sound good but if Wombat is in the neighborhood you may want to check to see if anything is still there. I'll be glad when her ordeal is over and she's on the mend. Fingers crossed for THE Wombat!

Mounties are CM's department. If I had known you would be pleased to hear from me, I would have tracked you down & called you a long time ago.
Do you want the burrow carpeted? I have to do my house and there will probably be some left over. Altho I was kind of thinking of laminate in case the cats come back to live there.
