:-) Quote Blue 501: Quote annal: thank you to all i know you are thinking of me and i thank you for that.but one thing i know when i get better i want to help others the way you all helped me.i want to volenteer at the cancer centre, and i want to start something with this cancer that i have.you hear everything else but not so much with hogins lympoma.so i am going to turn to someone that may be able to help.you might think this is crazy which i kind of do because i dont know where to begin.or anything so i want to ask (ellen)she would know something.but i am going to ask after i am back from london.i know i have changed from all of this in a good way(i think)and i just want to give back.i would love to talk to mario i cant spell his last name he use to play for the pegiuns hockey team.he had something similer to what i have and maybe he can help to.i just hope i do what i say instead of say what i want to do.but i have my head were i want it and i believe i can do alot if i put my mind to it. That would be a very loving and generous thing to do. |

Good morning all. My daughter is on the way back to Philadelphia. V did not get the car she has been driving ready to be inspected and he wanted her to take my old Lumina with 191,000 miles on it. I could not bear that. That car is going to die soon & she is without resources. We usually have a yard full of cars. So, i sent her off with my Toyota Camry and I will have to drive the Lumina. Not looking forward to it. Maybe it is time for a new car. The Camry is a 2005 but it only has about 60,000 miles on it. It's a bad time to have to buy a new car b/c we just put in a new ac & I am going to have to have my house painted & new flooring done but what is is. |

Umm. Nice trip to the garden. I ate a snow pea. I will pick them tomorrow. The glads have enjoyed the rain & are reaching for the sky. The top blooms come to my nose. Lots of beauties blooming in the daylily rows. I see a lot of blue in there that I don't remember from before but I have been pollinating with the blue stuff for several years. There has been time for pods to fall off, seeds to germinate, & new faces to bloom. You just can't believe how lovely they are. Darla Anita bloomed today. She is kind of a rose pink with lots of golden glitter & with great masses of yellow around the edges. The ruffles are so thick tht sometimes I have to help it a little to open. It's short but I still use it a lot to pollinate the tall ones in other colors, hoping to get tht elaborate edge in purple or fuchia or blue or lavender (others have already beat me to it of course but its a thrill to have your own-and for free. Some of the really striking new daylilies sell for over $300 for just one fan). |

Quote annal: When we were having this conversation yesterday I was wishing your little boy was here. Kids visit the firehouse all the time. They have small turnouts (Coats and boots)and helmets and take the kids pics "driving" all the equipment then give the pics to the kids. Also there is a great fire museum in Memphis. There is a wall with the names of all the men who were killed or injured in the line of duty. My sons name is on that wall.
Quote Lucy3: i was thinking about it taking him there.we were out for breakfast one sunday moring and there were some firefighters ready to leave and i told my son that.i had told him go there and tell them you want to be a firefighter and he was ready to go but they were out the door.i tell him so many times if you want to be that when you grow up dont let anyone tell you,you cant do it.you can be whatever you want to be.i tell him over and over.if not then i dont care as long as he knows what he wants to be.i think thats cool about your son.too bad we live so far apart then i would say your son can talk to my son.he would love that. Quote annal: MOXY-if my son would knew what you wanted to do he would be smiling from ear to ear because he wants to be a fire fighter when he grows up.he is only 6 years old.but he wants to drive the truck though.its something though i think its cute. My son wanted to be a firefighter when he was probably four years old. As a matter of fact I decorated his room like the bed hall in our fire station. My friends husband took us on a tour of the station and that's where I got my ideas. My son is forty two and has been a firefighter/paramedic for twenty years. He still loves his job. And yes, he often drives the truck. If you take your little boy to the firehouse I'll bet they'll take him on a tour and let him get the feel of that truck. |

Good grief! I went looking for you all and the thread was on page four! I was beginning to think I had just imagined you all. |

Quote Lucy3: Good grief! I went looking for you all and the thread was on page four! I was beginning to think I had just imagined you all. We had an experience. We went over to the credit union and found that it had been robbed. A tv crew was there and interviewed us. The interview was lengthy but what actually got on tv was a few seconds. Fine by me. I would have been perfectly happy if they'd skipped the whole thing. You have your choice. You can go ahead and talk to them or make yourself look like a bigger fool by saying no and them putting that on tv. Guess we came okay. You had an adventure. Cool! Did you see yourself on tv yet? The last time I was on tv I was doing an interview with a radiology tech & the lights were so hot & we had to start over so many times that I kept licking my lips & looked like a lizard flicking my tongue in & out. I was so embarrassed. I stopped volunteering after that. |

If you ever have trouble finding the thread, there is a little white rectangular box right over ADD NEW POST. If you type Kritter in the box, then right click the even smaller white rectangle to the right of it two times, it will search and find the thread for you. |

I have brought a large purple vase filled with white and pink glads. I like the bright colors (like purple & red) better than the pastels but the voles & wood rats must like them better too. I keep buying them & they keep disappearing but the pastels prevail. Maybe the dark ones are spicier tasting. |

Hi Annal, it is so good to see you posting a little. I guess you are resting up and are feeling better, perhaps? How soon do you have to travel to London? |
