    The speculating is what I like best about soaps. I guess it is because they are on almost everyday. I never wonder what is going to happen next on a prime time show but with soaps I do it almost everyday.

    Good Evening Team Shadam!

    Nothing much to report! I watched today's Canadian and SC was awesome as usual. Tucker is a supportive ally for Sharon! Nikki needs to join SKye in the volcano.

    The jury is still out on this for me. I do not trust Victor and Tucker can be shady to get what he wants also.

    LOL, you're right. I was taken by surprise. I guess Nikki regets marrying Jack. She definitely spends more time around Sharon and the Ranch than she does with Jack. Next thing we know she'll be camping in Victor's room with Sharon.

    I actually watched about 20 minutes of yesterday's US episode and it was only okay. I only watched because I knew Chelsebore wouldn't be on and I wanted to see Victoria verbally slap Phyllis down. I think Victoria and Billy did a good job but I don't think they went nearly far enough. I really hate how most scenes are biased towards Phyllis getting the better end of the deal.

    Sharon's scenes were good but, again, I don't think she went far enough in verbally slapping Nikki or Nick. I'm really tired of those two having their snooty noses up in the air in regards to her. They refuse to treat her like an equal all the while allowing Phyllis to act like a feral hyena without a cross word said to her. I am also sick to death of hearing about how Sharon isn't acting like a good mother to Faith. At this point, I almost wish that child had never happened. I am so sick of Faith being used to lord over Sharon in order for the snotty Newmans to control her. I really have no idea where things are headed with Tucker. I'd like to see them become friends and to work together to bring Victor to his knees but I m very concerned that the previous writers thought it'd be great to set Sharon up with another old man. Things didn't work so well for them with Victor but I wouldn't put it past them to think that Tucker would be an a-okay replacement. Honestly, it's just sad to watch. Sharon should be with a guy who is closer to her age like Adam. I'm getting a little sick of this so called "entertainment."

    I think you hit the nail on the head. I've never once believed this was a Sony made decision because it makes zero sense from a business stand point. I can't for the life of me figure out why MAB would stand by this couple for 3+ years only to destroy them so quickly once they finally started to gain traction. My only theory is that she became concerned once Shadam became popular because she didn't want another Lane situation where she was forced to write for them in a way she didn't want too. That said, I have my doubts that what we will see from the rest of the MAB approved scenes will be anything that resembles a move towards a Shadam reunion. I really do believe she wanted to try and pit two fanbases against each other thinking it would drive up ratings. Obviously, she was wrong but I don't know if she'd ever admit that. I'm sure she thought Chadumb just needed more time and more cheese and then it'd be popular. I don't think she, or the writers, ever really planned on Shictor imploding like it did.

    Anyway, I am hopeful for the newbies in charge. I understand the fear in regards to cutting the cast but the reality is that it is far too large. I think a big chunk of the cast will be cut by getting rid of a lot of the newbies that just aren't working. I think the next thing will be some of the older vets like Victor, Nicki, Jack and Kay being bumped down to recurring or something. Don't get me wrong, I love those characters but they also command a lion's share of the salaries. I think the show will begin to center more around Phyllis, Nick, Sharon, Adam, Michael, Billy and Victoria with the younger crowd featured more often so that some interest can be created in them. I wouldn't be surprised if Faith doesn't get aged pretty soon either.

    All in all, my biggest hope, is that the storylines get a lot better and the characters start remaining true to their history. I can't take the ping ponging of how these character's act. We need to be able to rely more on the history of our beloved characters. These crazy, unbelieveable, rewrites need to stop. Viewers need to be able to recognize these characters from one month to the next.

    Cheer up, Doerr. I know exactly how you feel. When are they going to stop dragging Sharon through all of this cr@p and show her fans the means for her actions. THis could not come soon enough. In the meantime, we need to have faith that everything is happening to make Sharon a stronger character.

    In regards, Faith and Noah, I think she is still a good mother. It's just because the writers are focusing on the currently s/l. Remember, she did call Noah before she married Noah. Noah was just too busy to call her back. I do that to my mom sometimes -- that is ignore her calls. Also, remember the scene in CRimson & Lights, when she came in with Faith. Sharon is still a good mother.

    In regards to older men. I think the writers are doing this because they want to reunite Sharon with her true love, Adam.
