The Young and the Restless - MESSAGE BOARDS

I'm a Shadam fan, and was first a Shick fan--they are what really drew me to the show back in the day. But, can any of you remember Adam declaring his undying love for Sharon? Since last year, I waited to hear BOTH of them say that (after NM) and neither did. In NOLA--did they say it? I don't think so. If Shadam comes back after this, I do think they will be stronger, however, they are sure setting the Chelsea/Adam stage to appear locked. If this brain tumor thing is true for Sharon, that may change Adam's heart. I cannot fathom them going from popcorn tossing to madly in love (C/A) when a few weeks ago, Adam was over the moon for Sharon. Something is not adding up to me. Or it's just another epic writing fail. Time will tell.

OT: So the other bait thread about silly but annoying they finally called out Jackie on there, they sure beat around the bush before doing so.

My problem with this is, there are several threads that are bumped throughtout the day but only she gets called out.
IMO the only reason is because of its the Shadam thread. We are expected to slink into the dark and let Chadam reign over this board. I feel no one has the right to tell what someone can post, unless its offensive, racist etc.

There are so many self appointed mods on this MB its amazing. Its written that our thread is being read, uhmm we know that. Hence the visits from the morons over the weekend.

The world is going crazy and people are upset about threads being bumped. People are getting killed and are dying like crazy and this is what bothers people. I cannot stand some characters and couples and I will not start a thread about their fans bumping them.

I wish they would let us have our time together and ignore us, just as we ignore that other couple's thread and just get along. Its not hard.

This is the last I will address this. Jackie don't let them chase you off this board. You are a fantastic lady and who do not like your posts can just ignore them, its called free will no one is forcing them to read it.

I'm still holding out hope for a Shadam reunion. I really want this stupid Chadam stuff to end. It bothers me to no end that the writers are trying to make it seem as though Chelsea is the one who has been loyal to Adam. All she's ever gotten from Adam is his white knight persona so of course she's loyal to him. He's never hurt her, lied to her, or manipulated her. She's only benefitted from being with him. Besides, it's not like she had any other options at the time. No one else gave a darn about her. Sharon, on the other hand, was, and still is, the only person who has been deeply hurt by Adam but still supports and defends him. Adam has done numerous bad things to Sharon and she always forgave him. It really angers me that all that is being swept under the rug so the writers can try and whitewash Chelsea so it can seem like she's so loyal and true. Chelsea has never been tested. Standing up to Victoria in the hospital wasn't all that big of deal considering no one was going to change their opinion of her. No one liked her then and no one likes her now.

It really chaps my behind that Sharon, a veteran character, is being reduced to simply an antagonist for the Chadam relationship. I find it insulting and disgusting. Sharon and Adam were never given a real chance. They have always had something hanging over their heads threatening to dismantle their relationship. And what thanks does Sharon get? She gets called jealous and bitter by Adam. Honestly, I can't blame her if she is. Does Adam think Sharon wouldn't have liked an easy breezy relationshp with him? I, for one, think that's what she's always wanted. He was never able to give her that yet she always came back to him. So, yeah, Sharon is probably jealous because Chelsea is getting what should have been Sharon's from the start. I know she walked away from him for one of the stupidest reasons ever but she's had a lifetime of hurts because of her love for Adam. I think he could have been a little more patient with her. He didn't give her much time to see that this change in his character was real. Let's not forget, he's claimed he's going to be better for Sharon before and it never worked. She always either found out something else or he did something else to her and/or someone she loves.

Sorry for the rant but I think I finally figured out what bothers me so much about the Chadam storyline. My all time favorite character will always be Sharon and I can't stand it when she gets all the hurt and disappointment. She deserves better. Her only options shouldn't consist of antagonist for another relationship or a dysfunctional relationship of her own. She should be able to have her fairytale without someone trying to ruin it (looking at you Victor, Jack, Phyllis, Nick, etc). It makes me so mad that Sharon loses her fairytale so a rapist can be whitewashed into some kind of highschool Cinderella.
