None of this seems plausible to us. Villy is tighter than Mega Superglue. But with soap writers, you never know.

I was just looking at some old epis and videos of Villy. Particularly watching BM from 2011, how in the world did he not get an Emmy for his excellent work with the Lucy fallout and and with Billy Abbott's struggle not to hurt Vicki anymore--should he stay or should he go? BM made it seem so real. And we saw the pain he suffered when he was stuck in the trailer, day after day, worried about Delia's illness and his wife's (seemingly) fading loyalty.

I don't know what reel BM submitted, but if his work isn't enough to win a Daytime Emmy, what is?

And Amelia was so exceptional too. Vicki's loss of Lucy and Billy all in one, her hopes that she'd get both of them back, and then her painful decision to try to move on. Through Amelia, as Vicki, we suffered along with her. Where in the world could Billy be? Is he hurt? Is he dead? Has he moved on with another girl? If he just came back, she could tell him that she loved him, no matter what. Oh, how devastating that time was. I remember her sitting on that little bench in the foyer of the FKB house, and she was just sobbing. Yeah, we knew how she felt. It was the end of the world.

I hope the new writers understand and appreciate the absolute gold they have in Villy. No one hates it more than I do when BM goes away to do other stuff, but it's a good compromise to keep this extraordinary couple on the canvas.
