Hey Peeps! I am back once again on this fabulous LANE train. Lanie, Y&R has missed so many opportunities to be truly creative and write some great stories but chucked them for gloom, doom, shock, awe & sensationalism. None of which worked very well--especially when you have to backtrack later and pretend that none of it happened. There is no way any writer can take characters to the extreme of evil & mean-spiritedness, then try to redeem them w/o humanizing them. Some of the characters on this show are so far gone that there is nothing that can be done for them to appeal to a larger audience again. That feat requires the services of exceptional writers who understand their characters & how far to the dark side they can take them. This team does not understnd when to stop. Killing history by bringing on too many newbies & sorassing babies to adulthood is not helping the cause either. Newbies are driving the stories while current cast should be doing that.
At this point, not many viewers really care. Look at soap mags, this & other MBs, twitter and FB. Y&R got a lot of cleaning up to do. Emmys are not looking at Y&R too kindly either. They won for hair, sound and something else at the Creative Arts awards last night. Let's see how they fare at the Daytime Emmys! No one wants to admit it; but killing Cane was the real eye-opener for critics, viewers, etc. & the start of the true downhill slide for this show. MAB did not see the backlash & withdrawal of support coming when she made the decison to kill a popular character. Will holler at you good people later.

Other than Lily & Cane, the possibilities for love & romance on Y&R this summer are non existent! And I am not one to sit around watching simple-minded characters jump, hop, & skip from bed to sofa to stairs to haystack to shower stall, office desk or even a dumpster for sex. I will take a pass if this is what is coming up for the summer.

Good afternoon, Peeps! Just wanted to pop in to say hello. The fare on Y&R must be awfully slow if there is nothing to post & not that much to read about. Let's hope Ricky stirs up some interest on this dying soap opera to keep it going. I know that is a bit much to ask of one character, but it is better than nothing.
I miss Lily and Cane and want to see them and the twilanes ASAP. Maybe we will get to see them next week on their second birthday. I have not seen any spoilers or indications that we will see them this week. Will catch you good people later.

So true MS, that was the end of me rooting for this show! I will never stop rooting for Lane but as far as the show goes I truly could care less if the show gets cancelled tomorrow the only thing I would miss is Lane and their wonderful Lane fans
