    Everyone will find out soon enough whether Dru was hallucinating or not...but I just want to cry at what they've done to Drucilla's character on this show. She is a phenomenal actress - and this "Dru goes crazy" s/l is just so beneath her character's dignity. TPTB could have had her character take a long vacation to Europe - or even transferred her to one of the NE companies abroad - say due to the stress of her murder charge, then Devon's. That would have been a lot more dignified way for her to leave, while still keeping the door open if she wanted to return. I think they are punishing VR the actor. JMO.

    Playing the part of a mental patient would not be an easy task it would show the extent of Victoria Rowells acting ability.

    Because the actor who protrays Dru is leaving they should have made the character just go away like they did once before..

    Maybe to another country as a spokesperson for Newman and probably to have some time to relax and enjoy herself after this horrible ordeal she went through.

    Before the actress's exit maybe she recovers and they can still do that. they will probably always leave a opening for Dru's return...we hope..

    I don't disagree that playing someone with mental ilness would showcase VR's superb acting skills. What I don't like is the fact that I believe they threw her s/l down this trajectory when it was evident she wanted out - I maybe wrong. However, either way, I feel it's a demeaning way for her character to leave the show. I'm hoping by her last air date in April they find a way to redeem Dru somehow with the dignity she deserves.

    If Neil is going to start seeing Carmen, then obviously Dru is not nuts. Since she is leaving the show, do we think that they are going to replace her? I don't see how they can just make her character disappear with so much going on and now knowing she wasn't crazy

    I know, I've thought about that too - too much going on with the Winters to have no Dru. But, man, what a task to recast if they go that way? Who would want to try and fill those shoes?? Part of what made VR so good at this character is over the years, the writers let her add her own dialogue to the script (VR talks about this in an recent interview in SOD, I think). I miss VR already

    Well, I had originally thought that Neil would get her released from the "ward" and at that point switch the actresses but I just read that she is not leaving until April so based on the last couple of months, ANYTHING could happen!
