BIOGRAPHY
Originally from Bedford New York, Melissa Claire Egan grew up singing and dancing in musical theatre. She signed with the Ford Modeling Agency as a child before heading to the University of North Carolina At Chapel Hill. Melissa graduated with a BA in Dramatic Arts.
While still in school, Melissa acted in plays such as "Marvin's Room," "How I Learned to Drive," "The Birthday Party," and "Pippin." She also studied Shakespeare at the British American Drama Academy at Oxford, England. Once she finished her degree, Melissa began acting professionally.
Melissa joined "All My Children" in July 2006 as runaway mom Annie McDermott, but she made her debut on the show as an extra at the age of 12! Melissa joined "Y&R" after "AMC" was cancelled.
