Venice Season Three Episode Seven.Friday, January 06 2012
Gina learns that Guya knows about the prostitute cover up, Michelle is pleasantly surprised, and Adrienne is two-timing Owen.
Lara returns to Ani's from a run and gets a kiss. Ani loves her new book. Ani apologizes for being so passive aggressive lately. Lara's understanding. What she did was unforgivable. Ani does forgive her though. She wants them to be happy and feels she's been holding back when Lara's been trying so hard by working and going to her AA meetings. Their kiss turns passionate and they take it to bed. They have sex.
Over drinks at Owen's, he thanks Adrienne for helping him find his way back. He invites her to Gina's party. She seems taken aback but recovers and decides to buy a new dress.
Lara meets Sami at the bar and pauses when asked what she'd like to drink. She decides to celebrate with a vodka on the rocks but looks guilty.
Van lies on top of Adrienne at her place. They're both naked. Van says, "I enjoy f*cking you Adrienne," and he couldn't care less if his cousin Owen is having her too. She reminds him that was the plan and says she doesn't have a problem with it. She thinks he's starting to forget about Sami and muses that Owen's starting to open up to her. Van wonders if she's falling for him and calls Owen pathetic.
Gina finds Richard on the beach and invites him to a press event with her. She plans on finding him a nice girl.
Lara arrives at Ani's place. She's alone, so pops an Altoid, smooths out her hair and opens her laptop. Ani arrives. She has to leave to shoot a press event for Gina. Lara's unimpressed but grins when Ani says it'll be quick. Lara wants to go but Ani refuses her. They go off to shower together.
When Owen gets a load of Adrienne's new dress, he almost cancels their plans. His family will love her but hopefully not too much. Especially his sister! Adrienne giggles and they leave.
At the rooftop party, Jamie lets Michelle in. She asks him not to leave her alone but Alan has seen her so Jamie pushes her to go talk to him. Michelle says hello to Alan and Michelle's annoyed to see he's with one of Gina's old flames. Richard and Gina arrive and she sees Logan. Jamie hands her a drink just in time and she downs it. Richard gets her another and Alan teases her about two of her exes being at the party. Gina says it's more like three. Alan toasts to Gina and their collaboration while Michelle shakes her head. Ani takes a few photos and spots Logan. Nearby, Michelle asks about Gina and the photographer. Michelle rolls her eyes and goes to have her photo taken with Gina. Gina shares the news that while she'll oversee this project, Michelle is the designer. Michelle is flabbergasted, Jamie's jaw drops, and everyone toasts to Michelle. Alan's pissed and calls Gina tricky. To Michelle, he says he loves discovering new talent. Michelle doesn't know what to say and so she says nothing, but looks gratefully at Gina. Across the pool, Gina finds Logan. They share a cryptic conversation and Gina finds Van, who doesn't know where Guya is. Gina goes to Richard who is surprised by the toast. Ani meets Richard. They joke about how Richard has met the shortlist of people he likes. Logan interrupts, wanting to ask questions. Ani's claws come out and Guya interrupts. "Good God what fresh hell is this?" she spits when she sees Logan. She drags Gina away and starts asking questions about the night The Colonel had a stroke. She knows about the hooker. Gina freaks and tells her what happened. How did she know about it? "I told you. I see dead people," Guya whispers. Gina's shocked she got her aura back. Gina doesn't know the half of it.
Oh. My. Gosh. What an episode. Chappell has outdone herself once again. Adrienne obviously does have feelings for Owen even though she's using him in her little scheme with Van. I worried momentarily that Lara would go to the party and make a scene but it looks like she handled her liquor - this time. I didn't expect her to stop drinking. We were introduced to Logan, another of Gina's ex-girlfriends, and surprise! Gina decided to out Michelle as the designer at the party. I love it. It's great to see Gina friendly with Richard even though he thought there could be something more, and how about Guya's scene with Gina? Perfection. I love the twist, and love the dialogue. If you're not watching yet, you need to be over on Venice The Series now!
