The Vampire Diaries Spoilers For Into The Wild.

    Thursday, January 17 2013

    (Justin Stephens/The CW)
    On February 7.

Promising that he can lead Elena's friends to the vampire cure that they seek, Shane brings them to a remote island near Nova Scotia. He insists that the secret they seek is hidden there. Damon assumes that this is all a trap and doesn't shy away from saying so. Meanwhile, his brother is left to referee between Rebekah and Elena as they bicker over the course of the trip.

Details from Shane's past continue to come to light. He regales everyone with the tale of Silas and the witch Qetsiya. While more vampire lore is being revealed, Jeremy's Hunter's mark continues to grow. He and Bonnie work together to try and figure out what it says and where it's leading them.

Not everyone's gone to Canada though. Tyler, Caroline and Klaus are all stuck back in Mystic Falls. Tyler is still thirsty for the blood of the original who killed his mother. Caroline is stuck in the middle, doing her best to contain the inevitable violence.
