    A little more Gilbert history.

    Updated: April 10.

James MacDonald and Erin Beute were tapped for the roles of Grayson and Miranda Gilbert. Beute has previously had roles on "Charlie's Angels" and "Burn Notice" while MacDonald appeared on "Love Bites" and "Lie To Me" among other shows.

    Original article: March 7.

It looks like the time will finally soon be here when viewers will get to actually see the much mentioned parents of Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev). A casting call has been released for Grayson and Miranda, her adopted parents who died tragically on Wickery Bridge. What should we be expecting for this? The details are a bit shady now, but it sounds like another flashback filled episode. It also sounds like some of the episode will be underwater. The casting call noted that the two actors involved will have to take some scuba lessons.

No word yet on when the characters are set to appear but Soaps.com will keep you updated with more information as it becomes available.
