    Original article: December 20, 2011.

We won't be seeing Paul Wesley (Stefan) back in Mystic Falls until the new year, but that won't be the only place the actor will be popping up. While on his summer break from shooting "The Vampire Dairies," he shot a major role in the upcoming action comedy, "The Baytown Disco." Starring Billy Bob Thornton ("Bad Santa") and Eva Longoria ("Desperate Housewives," ex-Isabella, "The Young And The Restless"), the film follows three redneck brothers who go on the run after helping to save a woman and her child from an abusive man.

Wesley plays a federal agent named Reese. Shot in Louisiana, it wrapped up in July and will be released early in the new year, but no date has been given yet.
