The character of April has now been cast. According to TV Guide, actress Grace Phipps ("The Nine Lives Of Chloe King") has been tapped for the role. She will make her first appearance in the second episode of season four.

Entertainment Weekly has reported that the show's new vampire hunter has been cast. The character of Connor will be played by Todd Williams ("The Chicago Code").

Look for him to make his first appearance in the second episode of this fall's season.

Although we have only begun the summer hiatus, the people at "The Vampire Diaries" are already hard at work putting together next season. While there are rumors going around that the show could be getting a new villain, the CW has revealed details about some of the characters they are casting for.

"VD" is currently casting the role of April, a teenaged girl who is said to have a major part in season four. She heads back to Mystic Falls following a death in the family and quickly becomes close to Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). They are also casting for the role of Connor, who is rumored to be one of the show's new villains. He's described as a highly attractive killing machine. Whether he's out to kill people or the town's vampire population is unknown.
