Ugly Betty Picked Up for a Full Season

    Monday, October 16 2006

Impressive ratings have secured a spot for Ugly Betty.
ABC has just announced that it will be picking up Ugly Betty for a full season. That means the show will be expanded, from the initial thirteen episodes already shot, to a full season's worth. This is another piece of great news for the show's creators and arrives with phenomenal ratings success. The show can already claim the distinction of being the most successful new show of the season. Stephen McPherson, the president of ABC, expressed glowing acclaim for the show which has, after only three episodes, proved itself a strong performer in the highly coveted Thursday 8 PM time slot. The upswing in ratings for the network has been substantial, with more than a 97 percent improvement over performance in that time slot in previous years. Congratulations!
