Sharon opens her house door to Avery, who is holding Faith. "What are you doing with my daughter?" She's amazed to hear about Dylan and Nick working together. They discuss Faith, and how Avery is with her uncle now, so they will still be in each others' orbit. Faith appears and says Avery was kind of nice - she told her not to be afraid.
At Crimson Lights, Dylan fills Nick in on what happened at Ian's office. Nick says Nikki and Summer are fine - they're tough. Dylan agrees. He thinks Nikki put a lot on the line to try to get a confession. Nick says she's tougher than he knows. Dylan complains about Ian playing mind games to the end. He tells Nick how Ian said, "If you kill me, you'll never know." Nick thinks a guy will say anything when cornered.
Hilary finds Neil in a funk in his old office at Jabot. He talks about missing the view. Hilary is about to leave when Neil tells her she fits in there well. She asks what's going on with him. He admits he and Leslie broke things off, and asks about her life. She jokes about the lack of excitement. He knows an eligible young man. She wonders if he means Devon, because he's not interested in her and is already seeing someone. Hilary talks about how something you didn't see coming can be a shock to the system. She is concerned about him drinking and says she's a good listener. After, Hilary runs into Esmerelda, who brags about all the things she'll get from Devon.
At the Club, Devon and Lily talk about Neil's split with Leslie. Lily assures him Neil won't start drinking again. Esmerelda appears and kisses Devon - she'll see him later. Lily's happy he's not interested in Hilary. He says Hilary's not interested in him. Lily calls her a tramp and Devon gets angry. In the gym, Victoria and Ben kiss. After, she apologizes. "I don't know what's wrong with me." Ben assures her she's just being human...and stressed out. He advises if she thinks she can save her marriage, then save it. Victoria says he's a good man. Later, Neil arrives and tells Devon and Lily that he got a helpful pep talk from Hilary.
At the park, Billy confirms to Kelly that he wanted to see her too. She asks what else he wants. Billy says he wants to say he's sorry for divulging their secret at the gala. He says Victoria is the only thing that matters to him, but Kelly has gone through enough trying to put her life back together. They talk about sleeping together. Kelly says for a couple hours she didn't feel pain. "I can't regret that." Billy hopes because it was just one time, he might be able to keep Victoria and Johnny in his life. Kelly says it was a relief to be completely understood. He felt that too. She knows they can't be friends. Billy hugs her and walks away. She looks forlorn. Ben finds her there crying. She says she doesn't know how to put Billy behind her. When Ben tries to say he cares about her, she informs him there is no forgiveness for what he did.
Noah meets Courtney at an office. She tells him she's in charge of this investigation and it goes like this - she kisses him. He tries some cop talk to impress her. She reveals a birthday cupcake. They kiss more and he realizes she's carrying a gun. He decides they should slow down a little.
Nick arrives at Sharon's as Avery leaves. He apologizes to Sharon for not giving her a heads-up. Sharon tells him to relax. He notices the Ouija board and wonders if she's trying to contact Cassie. She insists she's not delusional although she did hold a brief seance with no results. He says she can always come to him. Nick tells her about Ian Ward and how scared he was for Summer. She says Summer's his daughter - the test doesn't matter. He says it does matter.
Victoria arrives home and blurts to Billy that she just kissed another man. She says it was mild compared to him and Kelly. Billy asks if he's supposed to thank her. They start yelling. She says his feelings have eaten this family alive and she has to see Kelly everywhere. He rants about it being selfish and stupid. They love each other. They kiss and go upstairs to make love.
At Crimson Lights, Avery tells Dylan she is glad about him and Nick, and that Ian Ward is locked up. "It's over." Dylan says it's not. He tells her about Ian's cryptic reference to a secret. He's determined to find out what he meant.

Jack asks Paul, "What can you tell me about the Ian Ward case?" Paul says, "This guy is going down for his crimes."
Ian says to Victor, "Victor Newman. The great man himself." Victor replies, "Ian Ward. Worthless maggot on the bottom of my shoe."
