At the Abbott house, Kyle marvels at Jack and Hilary, who have a gift for Summer for every year of her life. They discuss the party. Kyle says Jack and Nick may be able to play nice, but can he and Victor? Kyle and Jack encourage Hilary to come to the party. She leaves. Kyle tells Jack being in the same room with him and Victor will be uncomfortable.
At the station, Neil has bailed out Devon, who complains that the police should have known they arrested the wrong person. Leslie says the evidence points to him being in Vegas. Devon is excited to hear there is video evidence - it will prove it's not him. In Paul's office, he tells Christine there's something that will tell them who pulled the trigger on Carmine - he's acquired the clothes that Fen wore that night. He says there will either be blood or gun residue if he was the shooter. Paul frets about having to put away someone he cares about deeply. He gets a call - the clothes report is ready. Paul reads the report and his shoulders slump.
At home, Lauren rants about Paul tricking them. Michael says he was doing his job and doing it well. Fen says they'll realize he dropped it and Michael picked it up. He insists there is still no evidence of wrongdoing. Lauren encourages Fen to go to Summer's party. Fen can't pretend everything's fine - nothing will be normal again. They talk him around and he decides to go to the party. After, Michael warns Lauren the discrepancies in their stories could actually be a problem. They hope Fen won't act impulsively. Later, Paul arrives with a warrant for Fen's arrest.
At Crimson Lights, Courtney and Noah tell Summer they're taking her bowling. Summer agrees; she's relieved not to have to deal with a party.
As they enter The Underground, Nikki tells Victor she doesn't want to talk about Dylan today. Victor spots Sharon inside and glares. Abby and Tyler arrive and stand with Nick and Victor. Nikki tells Sharon she's surprised to see her there. She stuns Sharon by thanking her for being a friend to her son. She says she means Dylan, not Nick. Sharon says he's a nice man. Nikki says her opinion of her hasn't changed. Sharon replies, "Back at ya' Nikki." Victor warns Nick about Sharon working her way back into his life - if it becomes a problem, he'll deal with it. Nick warns Victor to stop taking swipes at the mother of his children. Jack and Kyle arrive. Victor compliments Kyle's work. Jack says he wishes he were still at Jabot. Victor muses, "I'm sure you do." At the bar, Hilary notices Mason has yet another new watch. They trade barbs. Courtney and Noah arrive with Summer asking why they left a bowling ball there. Everyone shouts, "Surprise!" Summer tears up but assures them she's happy. She assumes Nikki brought everyone together, but she credits Nick. Summer cries more hugging Jack. Noah tells Nick she's in a funky mood. Nick approaches Summer and asks what's going on. She talks about what a difficult year it's been. He hugs her. Victor overhears Abby teasing Tyler about Mariah and asks her who she is. Abby reassures him. Nikki and Jack discuss Dylan. She says Victor's refusing to allow him into the family. Fen arrives. Courtney confronts him about telling Summer she buys drugs. After, Fen tells Summer he came to say goodbye - he needs her help. Jack interrupts to tell Summer he sent something over to her place to open later. Kyle tells her she deserves to be happy. Kyle then lets Jack know he's going to photograph the Bonaventure file. Summer returns to Fen who asks her to cover for him and advises her to be careful choosing her other friends. Nearby, Sharon and Nick get to know Courtney better while Noah squirms. Nikki and Victor watch and grumble about Sharon. Noah finds out Kyle left and decides not to let him get ahead at work. He leaves. Esmerelda invites Summer to another party, but she's tired. Esmerelda gives her an 'energy pill' and Summer takes it. Summer says her goodbyes and thank yous and leaves for the party with Courtney. Jack and Victor exchange holiday barbs as Victor and Nikki go. Once alone, Nick thanks Sharon for helping. They end up kissing.
Hilary is at the Club when Neil, Leslie, and Devon come in surrounded by press. Devon asks if she's enjoying this. After Neil and Leslie leave, Hilary tells Devon she doesn't believe the news about him. She scares off some reporters. Devon's impressed.
At Newman, Kyle photographs the Bonaventure files. Noah enters. "What are you doing?"

Noah demands to know what Kyle was looking for on his grandfather's desk.
Jack says to Billy, "You seem to have gotten to know this Kelly really well." Billy replies, "It's not like I'm running around cheating on my wife."
Victor says to Nikki, "He shouldn't be treated as we treat our other children?" Nikki retorts, "Why not? He's my son!"
