Actor Paul Walker, who played Brandon Collins on "The Young and the Restless" back in 1992, died on Saturday November 30 in Los Angeles. "The Fast And The Furious" star was killed when a car he was a passenger in hit a tree and burst into flames, according to a report by TMZ. The sad news was confirmed on Walker's official Facebook page: "It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. – #TeamPW" The driver has been identified as former race car driver Roger Rodas, according to a Santa Clarita radio station. Rodas was the CEO of Always Evolving, a performance shop for high end vehicles.

Walker's co-star has taken to Twitter with words of love for his friend and co-star.

Walker's most recent film, the Hurricane Katrina drama, "Hours," is slated to hit theaters on December 13.

Walker is survived by his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow Rain.'s deepest condolences go out to Paul Walker's family and friends.
