Burton appeared on "The Talk" and confirmed that he will be joining the cast of "The Young and the Restless." The ladies welcomed Burton to the CBS Daytime family and announced he will be playing Dylan McAvoy beginning January 29. Burton says that executive producer Jill Farren Phelps asked him to join the show, and that he was able to work out a deal in which he could keep his family in Nashville and go back and forth.

According to a report by TV Guide, "General Hospital" alum, Steve Burton, who played Jason Morgan, may have signed on at "The Young and the Restless." The report hints that Burton would be playing a major role at "Y&R," which is now the home of his longtime friend and former boss, executive producer Jill Farren Phelps.
