One too many takeovers.

In this week's Throwback Thursday Soaps.com takes readers back to the early 1990s when Victor Newman collapsed after an argument with Jack Abbott…

Jack has been Victor's nemesis for more years than we can count, and now he's running Victor's pride and joy, Newman Enterprises. They have fought for control over the Abbott family business, Jabot Cosmetics, as well on more than one occasion. Jack was responsible for Jabot going public, which in turn made it easy for Victor to take over the company.

Jack had been with Nikki at the time but struck a deal agreeing to leave Nikki if Victor returned Jabot to the Abbotts. Victor always has a back-up plan and tricked Jack forcing the deal to fall through. Jack was filled with vengeance and with the help of Brad Carlton took steps to take over Newman. Victor caught Jack in the act but ended up collapsing during an argument with his enemy. Jack proceeded to taunt Victor and walked out of the great man's office.
