Genie Francis got the nod for her portrayal of Genoa City newbie, Genevieve Atkinson, who has had her share of drama dealing with the men in her life, and of course her son. Elizabeth Hendrickson was also nominated in this category for her portrayal of Chloe Mitchell. Her character had a tumultuous year as her young daughter faced leukemia, and her fiance disappeared.

Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series:
Christel Khalil was nominated for her role as Lily Winters Ashby, who checked herself into a mental facility when she began seeing her supposedly dead husband in her house! Of course, it was an emotional rollercoaster when she learned he was really alive after all.
