Soaps.com readers who are fans of both The Young and the Restless and country music, are in for a treat! On Friday, May 2nd, country crooner Trace Adkins will appear on the Y&R, performing his new song "You're Gonna' Miss This" from his most recent album “American Man, Greatest Hits, Vol. II.”! Trace, who boasts a distinctive, often remarked upon, deep voice, will appear on Y&R as himself.
Born Tracy Darrell Adkins in Sarepta, Louisiana in 1962, "Trace" put out his first country album, "Dreamin' Out Loud", in 1996 and followed that since with six more studio-recorded albums, as well as two greatest hits compilations. All but two of his six studio albums achieved gold or platinum status in North America, and Trace has had over twenty singles on the country charts, including three that soared to the number one position, "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing", "Ladies Love Country Boys", and "You're Gonna' Miss This".
Trace has enjoyed other forays into television prior to his Y&R guest spot. He did the voice-overs for KFC commercials, made appearances on game shows, "Pyramid" and "Hollywood Squares", and was a finalist on Donald Trump's reality program, "Celebrity Apprentice"! Trace also has landed some film roles, having recently completed work on "Trailer Park of Terror", which is being screened at the Nashville Film Festival, and also appearing in Kelsey Grammar's "American Carol", an indie effort which will debut sometime near Christmas.
Soaps.com welcomes Trace to The Young and the Restless! We are really looking forward to the appearance on Friday, May 2nd!
