Born in 1959 in Queens, New York, Vincent Irizarry was involved in the arts by the age of 10. At 11 he enjoyed studying photography which is still a favorite hobby. Irizarry studied the piano and became a trained classical musician. Later at Berklee College in Boston he became involved in acting where he was awarded a full scholarship at the Theater Institute with the late Lee Strasberg.
After appearing in an Off-Broadway Shakespeare festival, Irizarry received a role on CBS soap "Guiding Light." During that time he became a talented vocalist where he realized a dream of performing as a soloist with the Orchestre de Lyon in France.
Vincent Irizarry first joined the cast of "All My Children" in November 1997 playing the character Dr. David Hayward. He rejoined the cast in July 1998 after a several-month long absence and stayed until 2006. He went to "The Young and the Restless" where he played David Chow, but then returned to "AMC" in 2008. His last stint ran until 2010 when his character David Hayward was killed. He later returned for the show's finale and reboot online.
Irizarry also appeared on the award-winning "Santa Barbara."
