Terrell Dusean Tilford was born on July 22 1969 in Los Angeles. He has an older brother named Bryan, and his family lineage can be traced back to the North American native Kiowa tribe. As a child, Tilford underwent surgery to overcome Hodgkin's Disease (cancer of the lymph nodes). He has an MFA from Rutgers University and a BA from the University of California at Berkeley.
Terrell Tilford's first significant acting role was as David Grant on "Guiding Light." He did numerous television roles after leaving there in 2000, including "Soul Food" and "Lincoln Heights," before returning to daytime as Dr. Bob Carrington on "Days of our Lives" in 2008, and later, Dr. Greg Evans on "One Life To Live" in 2009-2010. Tilford appeared in "The Protector" and "Single Ladies" before joining "The Young and the Restless" as Dr. Byron Shelby in 2014.
Terrell Tilford is married to Victoria Platt and their first child is due in August 2014. Tilford is a marathon runner and a fine arts enthusiast.
