On the Forrester jet, Brooke talks about relaxing in Aspen and tells Bill not to worry about Will. Bill's still bitter about Katie keeping him from his son. Brooke thinks they'll sort it out when they return. Bill snarks, "Not if I'm living in your house." He grumbles about Katie trying to control his life. Bill rants about what Katie's doing at the business as they begin their descent. Brooke feels responsible; she's the reason Katie is ruining his company. She asks Bill if she's worth everything he's had to give up. Bill replies, "Everything in the world." Once in their jeep, Bill says they'll rise above their troubles in Aspen; coming back seems right. Later, they walk and Bill talks about Katie's sense of adventure having died, while they devour challenges. They kiss.
At Spencer Publications, Hope sympathizes with Katie about Brooke and Bill having gone to Aspen together. Hope says she tried to get through to her mother, telling her to listen to her conscience this time. They discuss Katie not letting Bill see Will before he left town. Katie complains about Bill not sticking to a schedule and his priorities. Hope thinks it's only a matter of time until Brooke realizes how wrong this is. Katie appreciates Hope's support, but it's her battle. She asks about the wedding. Hope says it's on hold - she's focusing on her line for now. Katie notes Wyatt has been supportive. Hope says he feels there's nothing they can't do - he's determined to get them even more publicity. Talk turns back to Brooke and Bill. Katie admits she's very concerned about Bill free-climbing. She says neither him or Brooke can control their impulses.
Wyatt, at the Forrester Creations boutique, flashes to Hope asking him about the video email. Caroline and Pam notice him frowning and urge him to charm the guests. Pam flirts with Charlie the security guard. Wyatt says he's keeping an eye on the guy keeping an eye on the diamond. He warns Charlie not to take his eyes off it for a moment. Wyatt complains to Caroline and Pam that he has doubts about the diamond's security. Caroline says Charlie is armed and security seems to be sufficient. Wyatt notices Charlie with a thermos and they approach him. Charlie brags about his coffee and the brownies he baked. Caroline is perturbed. Wyatt grills him about his experience. Charlie is confident there are few more experienced; he has thirty years on the job. He goes on about a good security guard wanting nothing exciting to happen. He muses that if someone got their mitts on the diamond it would make headlines worldwide. Wyatt looks thoughtful as Pam and Charlie talk baking.
