At home, Bill tells Brooke if anyone can reach Katie, it's her. He doesn't know what to do about Katie pulling away. Brooke reassures him. Bill says he hasn't always treated her like family...or Hope. Brooke says they don't hold grudges and promises they'll get through this. Brooke goes upstairs and asks Katie what's bothering her. Katie tells Brooke her milk still hasn't come in and this isn't how she imagined it - she never imagined going into labor the way she did. Katie admits that Bill did something, but doesn't want to discuss it. Brooke probes. Katie says Bill did something criminal that could land him in jail. She says everything feels fragile. Brooke says Bill is completely devoted to her and Will. She wonders what Bill did.
Pam and Donna work side-by-side at their desk, bickering over Pam's special stapler. Pam's dismayed to learn that all the staplers are engraved, not just the one Eric gave her. Eric and Stephanie appear and Pam gives Eric the cold shoulder. Stephanie and Pam step into the office. Pam calls Eric when Stephanie begins coughing. Eric barks to call 911 when she starts choking. Stephanie tells Pam not to, but agrees to phone her doctor and go in. After, Pam stops Donna from using the phone - she wants lines free for Eric to call. Donna assures her Stephanie will be okay. Donna calls Katie's house and gets Bill. He says Brooke is upstairs with Katie.
Eric and Stephanie meet with the doctor in her office. Stephanie admits she's had less energy since her last appointment. They draw some blood from her. The doctor is called away, and Eric and Stephanie are left to wait for results.
Bill is yelling at Alison on the phone when Brooke returns downstairs. Brooke demands to know what is going on - she wants the truth or she cannot help her. Bill says it's something he regrets - something hurtful and unfair to Hope. Brooke hollers, "Tell me what you did to my daughter!"
