Earlier this year, Katherine Kelly Lang completed filming Garlic & Gunpowder, and Soaps.com has learned that she is now working on another movie entitled “Stan the Man.” Lang is playing the role of Elizabeth Morgan in the film, in which one of her co-stars is none other than Crystal Chappell, who played Danielle Spencer on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” in addition to her other daytime roles of Maggie Carpenter on “One Life to Live,” Jane Kingsley on “Santa Barbara,” Olivia Spencer on “Guiding Light,” and Dr. Carly Manning on “Days of our Lives.” Chappell will appear as Melody Dubois in “Stan the Man,” and other cast includes Eliza Roberts (“Animal House”) as Gina, Angelo Pagan (“Swordfish”) as Bobby, and Beau Casper Smart (“Shades of Blue”) as Jay. The film is directed by, and stars, Steven Chase, who also helmed “Garlic & Gunpowder.”

“Stan the Man” surrounds the story of Stan Mann, a generous new multi-millionaire who lives at a five star hotel indulging in women, gambling and alcohol, and spoiling the staff, who gets mixed up in a casino gambling scheme involving the Russian mob and loses everything on one bet. He’s then shot and seriously wounded in a liquor store robbery and has a near-death experience in the hospital. An angel gives him an opportunity to redeem himself by finding his true love within thirty days.

It’s been a busy year for the “B&B” actress, as back in February, Katherine Kelly Lang put her Glassell Park home on the market and also traveled to Australia for the soap’s location shoot. Lang took to Instagram to share photos from the set of “Stan the Man,” which show her with various members of the cast and crew. No release date has been set for the movie as of yet.
