  • Courtney Hope's B&B Return Date As Sally Spectra image

    Updated May 24: Soaps.com has learned that Courtney Hope will return as Sally Spectra beginning on Friday June 15, as first reported by TV Insider.

    We learned on April 19 that Courtney Hope will be returning to Bold and the Beautiful as Sally Spectra. The actress confirmed the news on Instagram and stated, "WELL Guys!! It’s OFFICIAL. Sally is coming BACK! ❤️🤗.... Very happy to be back home @boldandbeautifulcbs! Now, let’s see where Sally lands next? 😏... I love you all and thanks for your undying support." Stay tuned for her return date when it's released. On March 19 we reported that actress Courtney Hope took to Instagram to share a farewell post as she leaves the role of The Bold and the Beautiful's Sally Spectra as the character presumably will leave Los Angeles to join Pierson Fode's Thomas Forrester in New York. Hope noted, "I’ve been waiting for the right time to say this, but I’ve realized the more I wait the longer it takes me to move on and accept life’s new chapter. Thank you to all the Sally and Spectra fans! Your love and support has meant the world and I will miss you all."

    Hope expressed a desire to one day bring Sally back to B&B, stating, "Hopefully Sally can return to ‘Los Angeles Fashion’ soon, but until then... I love you all." The actress joined the daytime soap opera as the younger Sally Spectra in 2017. Though there is no word on future projects, Courtney Hope and Chad Duell co-starred in Friend Zone, out this year. Duell, who plays GH's Michael, is Hope's off screen boyfriend.

  • B&B Casting Short-term Role of Clara image

    The Bold and the Beautiful has put out a new casting call to fill the role of Clara, according to Soap Opera Digest. They are seeking a British actress in the 18 - 21 year age range to play the character, who "seems innocent but has a manipulative side." The role is contract, but short-term.

  • B&B Casts Adain Bradley As Alexander Avant image

    Soaps.com has learned that Riverdale alum Adain Bradley has been cast on The Bold and the Beautiful as Julius Avant's (Obba Babatundé) nephew Alexander Avant. TV Insider is reporting that Alexander was raised by Julius' brother and wife in England and is half-British. Expect the character to hit the scene in Los Angeles beginning on June 12 when he arrives looking for his American family - and harboring a big secret.

  • B&B Ups Dancer Nia Sioux to Series Regular As Forrester Intern, Emma image

    Updated April 23: Soaps.com has learned that viewers will be seeing Nia Sioux on a regular basis. Executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell has upped the actress to a series regular on Bold and the Beautiful. Sioux posted on Instagram, "My first episode of #boldandbeautiful airs tomorrow on @cbsdaytime!!! So excited to join the family as a series regular."

    On March 7 we reported... dancer, singer and actress, Nia Sioux has confirmed that she will be playing the role on Bold and Beautiful as Emma, a Forrester intern on April 23 through 26. Sioux had a photo taken in front of the B&B logo she uploaded to Instagram and gushed, "I'm on set of the world's most watched daytime drama #BoldandBeautiful!" Sioux recently spent some time experiencing the magic at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics in Korea as a correspondent. Before that, she danced contemporary and musical theater numbers while at Abby Lee Dancing Company, before making her Off-Broadway debut in Trip of Love in New York City.

  • Jacob Young Confirms B&B Recurring Status image

    Soaps.com has learned that Jacob Young, who stars as Rick Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, has been dropped to recurring status with the show. The actor, who joined the soap in 1997, posted about the situation on Twitter. Young set the record straight saying, "I want to take a moment to address the rumors that I'm currently off contract. All true, I'm recurring and just starting to shoot a movie for Lifetime. I have been under contract for 21 years and this to me is a blessing. I can now have the time to pursue all my passions. Xo" The movie Young is referring to is a new indie feature film Faithfully, and Deadly Desert Vacation, which co-stars All My Children's Alexa Havins (ex-Babe). The actor has also been on tour promoting his country album Better Than a Love Song

  • B&B Casts Celeb BB Winner Marissa Jaret Winokur As a Wedding Planner image

    Celebrity Big Brother winner and Broadway star, Marissa Jaret Winokur, is set to appear on The Bold and the Beautiful. According to Entertainment Weekly, Winokur shot her scenes on Monday March 26, and stated about the experience, "It’s way harder than anyone made it look. It was so like theater for me. It was the most at home I’ve ever been on a set."

    Winokur, who won a Tony Award for her stint as Tracy Turnblad in the Broadway musical Hairspray, competed on Dancing With the Stars, and co-hosted on The Talk, will appear in the Tuesday May 15 episode of B&B as a wedding planner.

  • Patrika Darbo Exits B&B As Spectra Family Is Out image

    Soaps.com interviewed award winning Patrika Darbo about her roles on Bold and the Beautiful and Days of our Lives, and the few web series she stars in, and exclusively learned that the actress will be leaving B&B as Shirley Spectra, sister of the original Sally Spectra, affectionately known as 'Grams'. She, along with the rest of the Spectra gang, Courtney Hope as Sally, Alex Wyse as Saul, and Danube Hermosillo as Darlita, have come to the end of their current stint on the daytime soap opera as Sally will presumably relocate to New York.

  • Alex Wyse Leaves B&B As Saul image

    On the heels of the news that Courtney Hope exits B&B as Sally comes confirmation, in a Soaps.com interview with Patrika Darbo, that Alex Wyse is leaving as Saul, along with the rest of the 'Spectra gang', Patrika Darbo as Shirley and Danube Hermosillo as Darlita. Wyse, who earned a degree in theatre at Boston University, came on as Saul Feinburg Jr. in February 2017, and in a farewell post on Instagram, expressed gratitude for the experience in daytime. He stated, "I got to film 66 episodes, work with incredible people, and be a part of the Bold Cinematic Universe (trying to get that to catch on.) Here’s to the next adventure!"

    No final airdate has been released.

  • Danube Hermosillo Exits B&B As Darlita image

    Soaps.com has exclusively learned during an interview with The Bold and the Beautiful's Patrika Darbo (Shirley Spectra) that Danube Hermosillo will be exiting the CBS soap as Darlita. The actress first appeared on B&B on February 9, 2017 and last appeared on January 24, 2018. It is possible she could turn up one more time on screen. On March 19, Courtney Hope confirmed her B&B exit as Sally Spectra, to which we then learned Patrika Darbo is leaving B&B as Shirley Spectra and Alex Wyse exits B&B as Saul.

  • Linsey Godfrey Returns to B&B As Caroline Spencer image

    Updated March 8, 2018: Linsey Godfrey will make another return to The Bold and the Beautiful beginning on March 13 as Caroline Spencer.

    On May 5, 2017 we reported that actress Linsey Godfrey shared the news that she was back on "The Bold and the Beautiful" set as Caroline Spencer on her Instagram account. Recently, Godfrey reported that Caroline wouldn't return anytime soon, so this was an unexpected development. In a further surprise, the actress had gone from blonde to brunette. Soaps.com will post Godfrey's airdate when it becomes available. Godfrey told Soap Opera Digest that she hadn't been expecting to return and that the email came shortly after she announced she wouldn't be going back to the show. "It was such a shock and such a pleasant surprise, but I definitely didn’t anticipate it. It was great. B&B is always my home and they’re always my family, so it just felt really good to see people who I haven’t seen in a while because they’re working and life is hectic and I live pretty far away from everybody... I just say thank you to the fans who stuck by me and were so supportive. I hope they’re super-excited about me coming back and to let everybody know!”
