70th Annual Writers Guild of America Daytime Nominees image

Focusing on the talented writers of daytime television.

On Sunday February 11 many will gather at the Beverly Hilton Hotel at 9876 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills, California for this year’s 70th Annual Writers Guild of America Awards to honor the writers behind the scenes in news, radio, promotional writing, graphic animation and daytime television. For a third year in a row, Emmy Award-winning writer, actor, comedian Patton Oswalt ("Annihilation") will return as host. The New York ceremony will be held that same evening at the Edison Ballroom at 240 West 47th Street in New York City. Comedian and writer (“Late Night with Seth Meyers”) Amber Ruffin will host the east coast event.

Of his return as the west coast ceremony host, Oswalt stated, “This is the year that I finally complete the Shifting Maze and am at last freed from the curse of having to host this wretched hellscape of an awards show. No guild can hold Oswalt forever!”
