Alexandra Chando guest-stars on The Vampire Diaries.
Alexandra Chando, who played “As the World Turns’” Maddie Coleman from 2005 to 2010, will be heading back to primetime. The actress will guest star in episode eight of The Vampire Diaries titled “We Have History Together.” Playing the role of a young doctor named Tara, Chando’s character will interact with Stefan and Damon as they continue their commitment to Cade by testing Tara’s morals. Tune in Friday January 13 at 8:00 PM on the CW. Since leaving daytime, the actress appeared as a regular on “The Lying Game” as Emma Becker/Sutton Mercer and has guest-starred on various primetime shows including “Castle,” “Hindsight,” “Outcast” and took part in the movie “Dead People.”
Penny Johnson Jerald lands role in Seth MacFarlane's space dramedy.
Penny Johnson Jerald had a brief stint in daytime playing Debbie on “General Hospital” in 1986 before making it big in primetime and film. She’s known for roles on “The Larry Sanders Show” (Beverly Barnes), “ER” (Lynette Evans), “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” (Kasidy Yates), “24” (Sherry Palmer), “October Road” (Dean Leslie Etwood) and most recently as Captain Victoria Gates on “Castle.” The actress will appear in the upcoming FOX space dramedy, created by Seth MacFarlane who will also star in the series. Though Jerald’s character details have not been released, fans can look forward to the hour-long series being set 300 years into the future, where the Earth’s exploratory ship, the Orville, and its crew confront various cosmic forces.
David Gregory cast in The Good Wife spin-off, The Good Fight.
“One Life to Live” favorite David Gregory (Robert Ford, 2009 to 2012) will appear in CBS’ “The Good Wife” spin-off “The Good Fight” as Zach Devine. The series stars Christine Baranski as Diane Lockhart, a role she played on “The Good Wife” from 2009 to 2016, and follows the character’s trials and tribulations as a partner at the law firm of Stern, Lockhart and Gardner. Tune in for the premiere on Sunday February 19 at 8:00 PM on CBS All-Access and keep an eye out for Gregory’s appearance. Watch a glimpse of Gregory in the series promo video:
Lyndsy Fonseca cast in lead role in Syfy’s The Haunted.
“The Young and the Restless’” Lyndsy Fonseca (Colleen Carlton, 2001 to 2005) has landed the lead role of Juno in Syfy’s pilot “The Haunted.” The premise surrounds four siblings who face ghosts from their past after reuniting following the death of their parents. As Soaps.com reported back in October, Fonseca married Noah Bean and guest-starred on FOX’s baseball drama “Pitch” in November. “The Haunted” pilot was written by Noga Landau, who will also act as a co-executive producer along with Author James Frey and Todd Cohen.
