Breaking celebrity news.
While Taylor Swift's team manages a fan mail fiasco, Brandi Glanville continues to suffer foot-in-mouth syndrome. Plus, is James Franco a bad neighbor and are Miley and Liam never ever getting back together? All this and more in this week's Celebrity News.
Brandi Glanville blunders on.
Thou shalt not kiss and tell is one commandment that Brandi Glanville ("Real Housewives of Beverly Hills") certainly isn't heeding. If it isn’t in her memoir Drinking & Tweeting: And Other Blunders, it seems to roll right off her tongue. The reality star made headlines last week after revealing to Andy Cohen during an episode of "Watch What Happens Live!" in Texas that she once famously hooked up with actor Gerard Butler ("Olympus Has Fallen"). According to Us Weekly Butler subsequently admitted to a "one-afternooner" with Glanville on "The Howard Stern Show" on Sirius XM Radio, after revealing that he didn't know Glanville's last name or that she was a celebrity when he was reportedly confronted with her confessions by a paparazzo on the street. Since news about their fling exploded, both Glanville and Butler have reportedly reconnected, hashed things out and are friends again. Butler is currently in a relationship with model/actress Madalina Ghenea.
Splitsville for Miley and Liam?
Miley Cyrus ("Hannah Montana") and Liam Hemsworth ("The Hunger Games") have reportedly broken off their engagement, according to the New York Post. Last week, an exasperated Cyrus took a break from social media after posting her denial that the two had broken up. Hemsworth has recently been photographed surfing in his native Australia. The current physical distance between them as well as the images of Cyrus without her engagement ring, and rumors of Cyrus' hard partying, coupled with more rumors that Hemsworth cheated on the singer/actress with January Jones ("Mad Men") seem to fuel this latest rumor that the couple have called it quits. While their separation may be temporary, Cyrus is also rumored to have declined a romantic getaway with Hemsworth which led to his solo journey Down Under. With all these rumors, no wonder Cyrus quit Twitter – but again, that too was temporary.
Taylor Swift mail delivery misstep.
Human error is being cited as the possible cause for why hundreds of letters and cards meant for pop-country singer Taylor Swift ended up in a Nashville recycling bin. When Kylee Francescan went to drop off her own items she noticed the huge pile of unopened fan mail scattered in the dumpster. Francescan gathered up the mail, tossed it into a box and then contacted the Nashville Channel 2 television station in an effort to bring the incident to Swift's attention. Shortly after, Channel 2 reporter Andy Cordan delivered the mail to Swift's record label, Big Machine Records on Nashville's Music Row. A concerned spokesperson, Paula Erickson, offered this explanation, "Taylor gets thousands of fan letters every day and they are delivered to her management office. After the letters are opened and read, they are recycled. The only explanation for any letters being unopened would be that a small batch of mail that was supposed to be delivered to Taylor was accidentally put with letters headed for the recycling center." Now that the letters are reportedly heading off to Swift's public relations firm, here's hoping she gets some downtime to read them in between performances for her North American "Red" tour.
A change of view for Joy Behar.
She's paid her dues and now she's ready to try new things. "The View" co-host Joy Behar is set to leave the four-woman panel this August when her contract ends. Behar is the last remaining original member of the popular Daytime talk show besides co-creator, veteran journalist Barbara Walters. While Whoopi Goldberg ("Ghost") and Sherri Shepherd ("Dancing With the Stars," Season 14) remain, rumors followed that Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Walters would leave as well. The rumors have since been debunked. Behar has been on the show for 16 and a half years. In that time, she has also moonlighted on her solo talk shows for HLN and Current TV. Reportedly, Behar has indicated that she would like to finish a play she's been writing and revive her stand-up comedy career. Sources say, Behar may even return to the talk-show circuit - perhaps on CNN - in the future.
Jennifer Love Hewitt's mammary protection.
Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt ("The Client List") has reportedly dropped a price on her 36C breasts – $5 million dollars! In a cheeky interview with USA Today, Hewitt talked about the tangible perks of her role as a single mom working at a day spa and teasingly indicated that her much-talked about breasts could be part of the celebrity body part insurance club. That club includes stars like Dolly Parton who reportedly insured her mammaries for $300,000 each, Heidi Klum who insured her boobs for $2.2 million and Jennifer Lopez who insured her toned posterior for $27 million.
Bieber gets a boost.
Pop singer Justin Bieber is being cushioned by the support of the Hollywood elite after a very rough few weeks under negative media scrutiny and paparazzi pressure. It seems while some fans and celebrity news outlets wait for the next shoe to drop in the saga of Bieber outbursts and unruly behavior, several actors and fellow singers have gone public with their message to back off the young pop idol. Jada Pinkett Smith's now-famous blog post on her Facebook page titled "Are we bullying our young artists?" chided the media and others for their intolerance and negative treatment of young stars in the spotlight. Pinkett-Smith's son Jaden has been opening for Bieber during his European Tour. Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am also reached out to the young singer by phone, following Pinkett-Smith's husband Will Smith who reportedly shared a long chat with him. Boy band One Direction has also tweeted their brotherly support.
love to big man Will Smith for the great talk yesterday. We know the truth and we must stand tall. Love u man! thanks!

Celebrities targeted and hacked.
Cybercrime is kicking butt and taking names after several celebrities and politicians had their finances and personal information hacked. The list is lengthy and concerning – from Britney Spears and business tycoon Donald Trump, to Beyoncé and Jay-Z to Mel Gibson ("Edge of Darkness"), Ashton Kutcher ("Two and a Half Men"), reality stars Kim Kardashian ("Kourtney & Kim Take Miami") and her mother Kris Jenner, to Tiger Woods and even political figures such as U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, former U.S. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. In addition to leaking personal finances, an unnamed website has also posted social security numbers, credit card information, car loans and mortgage amounts. According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) have been actively investigating the hacker attacks, while authorities also try to remove hacked phone numbers of the celebrities' lawyers, accountants and business managers from the Internet.
