Breaking celebrity news.
In this week's Celebrity News, Jennifer Aniston hears wedding bells, Janet Jackson heard them a while ago and Maksim Chmerkovskiy's fancy footwork gets left out. Plus, there's always a few stars in trouble with the law!
Aniston and Theroux to get married in March?
It's been speculated on so much that it's hard to believe that this date won't be declared a national holiday, but actress Jennifer Aniston ("Horrible Bosses") and her fiancé Justin Theroux ("Wanderlust") have reportedly set a date for their highly-anticipated Hollywood wedding. According to reports by People magazine, the couple will walk down the aisle soon after Aniston finishes filming her current untitled movie project on March 8. It seems the dress and rings have already been chosen and Aniston may reportedly take her husband-to-be's last name, making her Jennifer Theroux.
Low key wedding for Janet Jackson.
She may outfit her concerts in pomp and circumstance, but R&B singer Janet Jackson took a decidedly low key approach when it came to her wedding to Qatari billionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana. The two recently revealed that they were already married in an effort to silence growing rumors that the wedding was to be an extravagant and elaborate $20-million affair that would see 500 guests flown in and each walking away with $10,000 Rolex watches as a wedding thank-you gift. In a joint statement to Entertainment Tonight the couple said, "The rumors regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony. Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children’s charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy."
After almost five years together, actress Christina Applegate (ex-Reagan Brinkley, "Up All Night") recently tied the knot with her Dutch-musician boyfriend Martyn LeNoble. The couple, who confirmed the news to People magazine earlier this week, shares a two-year old daughter named Sadie. Applegate and LeNoble were reportedly married in a private ceremony at their home in Los Angeles, CA surrounded by family. LeNoble tweeted the news, obviously minus any details.
What a glorious day!

Chris Brown – grateful and forgiven.
Singer Chris Brown has unlocked his usually recalcitrant tongue to share his recent come-to-Jesus moment as he basks in the glow of girlfriend Rihanna's forgiveness for his 2009 assault on her after a pre-Grammy event. The R&B star, who recently celebrated Rihanna's twenty-fifth birthday with a Hawaiian holiday with the star, recently spoke to the British newspaper The Mirror about how his girlfriend's forgiveness came after a lot of hard work. "That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake," said Brown, "But she loves me – what can I say? I'm forgiven…but, yes, I worked hard for it." He isn't the only one, as many observers work overtime to remind the couple of how unpopular their reunion is. As we reported in last week's Celebrity News, Rihanna is definitely feeling the brunt of living her truth after a heckler allegedly threw an energy drink bottle at Rihanna who suffered a scraped right knee in the incident which took place just outside of the Box nightclub in London. In a separate incident, Rihanna's alleged stalker, Steveland Barrow was cuffed, carted away and released after he was caught breaking into Rihanna's neighbor's house. Apparently, he got the address wrong and thought he was sleeping in the singer's bed. Hopefully, with Barrow now on the loose, Rihanna feels safer after reportedly obtaining that temporary restraining order against him.
McAdams and Williams are single ladies.
Two major Hollywood splits to hit headlines this week seemed to come out of the blue. Citing long-distance, New York-based actress Michelle Williams ("Oz the Great and Powerful") and her Los Angeles-based boyfriend, Jason Segal ("How I Met Your Mother") reportedly ended their almost year-long relationship earlier this month. Also, after 2 years together, actress Rachel McAdams ("Sherlock Holmes") and actor Michael Sheen ("Underworld") have reportedly split and distance may also be a factor. McAdams who lives in Toronto and Sheen, who has homes in Wales and Los Angeles went public with their romance in 2010 after meeting on the set of Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris." It's also splits-ville for Diane Lane and Josh Brolin. The couple has had a moderately spicy relationship that has been punctuated with Brolin's occasional altercations with other Hollywood actors and several arrests for assault, public intoxication and DUI. Sources say the split is amicable.
Bobby Brown gets 55 days in jail.
What happened to the child singer who made up one-fourth of the band New Edition? What happened to the solo R&B artist who hit it big with his single "My Prerogative?" Oh yeah, that's right he married the late Whitney Houston and then reportedly embarked on a storied bad-boy career. Brown isn't making any immediate moves to reform as he continues to battle his demons. The singer and ex-husband of Houston was allegedly sentenced to 55 days in jail after his third drunk driving arrest last October. According to TMZ, Brown has been ordered to turn himself in to a jail facility by March 20 and will have to complete an 18-month alcohol program while also serving four years' probation.
Forest Whitaker frisker fired!
In last week's Celebrity News, we reported that a New York Milano Market Deli employee made the blunder of all blunders when he accused actor Forest Whitaker of shoplifting ("The Last King of Scotland") as he was perusing the aisles. To add insult to injury, the employee frisked and patted down the Oscar-winning actor in front of the other customers and employees. A reportedly shocked Whitaker declined to call police but had a few words for the management. The owner of the Milano Market has reportedly confirmed to TMZ that the employee has, in fact, been fired.
Mindy McCready undergoes secret autopsy?
Country singer Mindy McCready, who tragically committed suicide last week, was buried this week following a Baptist funeral ceremony that reportedly saw over 400 family, friends and fans in attendance in Fort Myers, FL. McCready, who first shot her dog and then shot herself to death on the front porch of her Heber Springs, Arkansas home on February 17 following the death of her boyfriend David Wilson in relatively the same manner on January 13, reportedly underwent a secret second autopsy to determine if anti-depressant drugs and other substances may have be involved in her death. McCready leaves behind two children. Ex-fiancé David McKnight reportedly told The National Enquirer that he feared McCready would hurt their son Zander, and her son Zayne whom she shared with Wilson, had they been with her on the day of her reported fifth suicide attempt.
