Tense times await our stars as Rihanna stands by her man, Lady Gaga sticks by her principles and Britney's travel plans possibly get a shake up in this week's Celebrity News.
X-Factor judges give themselves a break. "X-Factor" judge Demi Lovato's sense of humor will certainly help her get through the next few weeks of recovery. The pop singer recently joked on Twitter about the cast on her broken right leg as a result of an accidental fall in her Los Angeles home. Her former co-judge, Britney Spears however, might be breaking a leg of a different kind as she is rumored to be very close to getting her own live show in Las Vegas. Spears' ex-fiancé and former agent Jason Trawick, along with her manager Larry Rudolph are supposedly behind negotiations to feature a Britney show at Planet Hollywood. And if that falls through, Spears may well be headed over to one of the Caesar's Palace casinos, despite a casino spokesperson reportedly denying the possibility. Sources are adding that while a Sin City Spears engagement may be a smart next step for the pop singer post-"X-Factor," she won't be receiving as hefty a payday nor be required to commit five nights a week as her possible Vegas neighbors – Celine Dion, Shania Twain, Rod Stewart and Elton John.

Bobby Kristina vs. Cissy? Someone call Dr. Phil! There is a war brewing in the Houston family that is slowly simmering into a full blown verbal feud. In one corner, Cissy Houston, the late Whitney Houston's mother, is dutifully doing the TV rounds, starting with a candid chat with Oprah Winfrey on "Oprah's Next Chapter" last month to promote her book, Remembering Whitney: My Story of Love Loss and the Night the Music Stopped and, perhaps to exercise some healing after losing her only daughter. In the other corner, granddaughter Bobby Kristina is quite busy 'respectfully' denouncing her grandmother's book as well as her right to write it, on Twitter.
Did Chris Brown pass up community service? Singer Chris Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos is reportedly chewing out Los Angeles County District Attorney prosecutors for allegedly defaming his client when they filed a motion to revoke his probation for beating and choking singer and girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. The District Attorney is alleging that Brown violated his probation by lying about the amount of required community service he actually performed in Virginia and then submitting fraudulent records to support the lie. The D.A. is reportedly seeking another 180 days of community service labor to be performed by Brown. According to TMZ, it has also been revealed that on most of his community service days, Brown was reportedly minimally supervised at best. Brown recently made an appearance in Los Angeles County Court to face the allegations with a supportive Rihanna reportedly seated in the front row and blowing him kisses. Let no lawyer tear asunder what two singers have put together.
Whoa! Grammy dress code in effect! A recent wardrobe advisory put out by the CBS Network's standards and practices department is warning Grammy performers to cover up or else! According to a memo leaked by Deadline, celebs are being told to "be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered," and that "thong type costumes are problematic." As if that weren't specific enough, the memo continues to go into detail, spelling out exactly what will not be tolerated (or back to the corner for you, you naughty celebrity!): "Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic. Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples. Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible 'puffy' bare skin exposure." Performers are also being cautioned to avoid flashing any commercial branding or foreign language symbols suggesting obscenity, however, nothing has yet been said about the provocative wardrobe march that is sure to sashay down the red carpet. The 55th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 10, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The show will be broadcast on CBS at 8:00 PM.
Barbara Walters itching to get back to The View. Revered broadcaster and "The View" co-host Barbara Walters is still recovering from chicken pox and is said to be three weeks out from returning to her co-host's chair at the popular morning television talk show. Walters was recently hospitalized for observation after suffering an accidental fall while attending a party on January 19 to celebrate U.S. President Barrack Obama's second inauguration in Washington, DC. According to Walters' statement three days later, her fall was a faint induced by the chicken pox which she was unaware she had and later learned she had contracted via contact with someone suffering with shingles.
Stressed-out Kim Kardashian? Kim Kardashian's ("Kourtney & Kim Take Miami") 72-days of wedded un-bliss have been plaguing the reality star for well over a year. Now ex-hubby Kris Humphries is reportedly using her expectant mother status for boyfriend Kanyé West as the fodder for his latest claim that not only did Kardashian defraud him with their marriage, but that her unplanned pregnancy is merely a tactic to fast-track their divorce and bias the legal proceedings. Humphries has been steadfastly arguing for an annulment based on marriage fraud. Kardashian, meanwhile, is due to give birth in July and it would seem that the stress of the divorce wrangling is slowly taking a toll on her pregnancy – according to reports by Kardashian's doctors, who allegedly were called in the middle of the night to Kardashian's home to examine her for severe pain. Adding to the supposed stress is Kardashian's reported fear of gaining too much weight during her pregnancy - sources say she heads to the gym for daily workouts with her personal trainer Tracy Anderson, whose celebrity clientele includes Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Horrible boss Lady Gaga? Lady Gaga (real name Stefani Germanotta) is currently in a bitter feud with her former personal assistant and high-school BFF Jennifer O'Neill over accusations made by O'Neill suggesting the eccentric performer is overly demanding and unwilling to pay her overtime. And that's just for starters. O'Neill is reportedly suing her former employer for $380, 000 in overtime payments. In her deposition, O'Neill reportedly alleges that Lady Gaga was so needy that she refused O'Neill her own hotel room while on her Monster Ball world tour in 2010, compelling O'Neill to share and sleep in the same bed with the star because she didn't want to be alone and worse, to satisfy her middle-of-the-night requests which included changing DVDs because Lady Gaga allegedly didn't want to walk across the hotel room. O'Neill reportedly goes on to say that Lady Gaga became enraged when O'Neill was unreachable or at any point when she was trying to claim some personal time. Hmm? Personal assistants getting personal time…sounds fishy. Lady Gaga is hitting back hard, reportedly insisting that O'Neill doesn't deserve the money and that she prefers to give any money she allegedly owes to another staff member for a mastectomy after her breast cancer diagnosis.
Everyone's headlines need an updating. "former assistant" is actually "my best friend from NY since I was 19." Painful stuff.
Brandi's blunders and confessions. The sneak peeks keep coming from former model and scorned ex-wife Brandi Glanville's ("Real Housewives of Beverly Hills") tell-all book Drinking & Tweeting and other Brandi Blunders which releases on February 12. Glanville's mission to reveal every detail of her disgust and despair over ex-husband Eddie Cibrian's (ex-Matt Clark, "Y&R," "CSI: Miami") extra-marital affairs is right on cue with her hell-hath-no-fury campaign, as this week she is said to reveal in the March issue of Glamour magazine how she happily slashed Cibrian's motorcycle tires with the blessing of his mother, Hortensia Cibrian. Joining Glanville's revelations, however, are rumors that she not only cheated first, but also just six weeks after the birth of her second son, before Cibrian moved on with his very public affair with country pop singer LeAnn Rimes. Glanville hit back at the rumors on Twitter, but not without Rimes offering up a cheeky response.
Apparently I cheated on eddie a few times with some Hot guys!Wow!Grasping at straws 4 yrs later a week before book is out #WISHIHAD watev
Beyoncé's super girl Super Bowl. Whether you were looking forward to the 'Beyoncé concert' or the Super Bowl this past week, it was obvious that everyone was waiting with baited breath to see what would happen. We know the Baltimore Ravens took home the trophy and that Destiny's Child came back, if only for a moment. Beyoncé's rocking performance at the Super Bowl halftime show delivered mostly hits that started with her warrior-inspired leather bodysuit designed by little-known designer Rubin Singer. And while Singer is probably still fielding calls from celebrities who want the 'Beyoncé Super Bowl look', not everyone was happy at Beyoncé's fabric expression of girl power. Reportedly, some parents' groups complained about Beyoncé's family un-friendly costume even suggesting she looked like a harlot. Beyoncé's performance however, received many rave reviews including a vocal Twitter video tribute from retired basketball player Shaquille O'Neal. Following her Super Bowl performance, Beyoncé formerly announced the dates of her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.
John Travolta vindicated. Actor John Travolta ("Savages") is one more step closer to ridding himself of the rumors that he's an aggressive closeted celebrity who preys on young estheticians. According to Radar Online, Fabian Zanzi, a Royal Caribbean International cruise ship employee, has dismissed his lawsuit against the actor which claimed that Travolta exposed himself as Zanzi was about to comply with his request for a neck massage. Zanzi, who was suing for unspecified damages, also claimed that Travolta offered him $12,000 to keep quiet about the supposed incident. Zanzi had previously won the right to have his case heard in court, but allegedly the potential cost of the legal proceedings – up to $75,000 – reportedly scared him into withdrawing his suit against the actor. Travolta has spent the much of last year fighting similar allegations of assault by several masseurs – all of whom dropped their cases against him. Travolta has repeatedly denied any misconduct in all cases.
New TV shows for Randy Couture and Jennifer Lopez. Former UFC star and Hall of Famer Randy Couture is reportedly collaborating on a TV show and reality TV series with the Spike TV Network. The TV show called "MMA Rescue" will feature Couture's business and athletic acumen as he works to turn around failing gyms into profitable successes. Couture, who owns his own gym chain, Xtreme Couture, will serve as executive producer. Spike TV has planned three one-hour episodes with the option to extend. Couture's foray once again into reality TV will also see him as part of "Fight Master: Bellator MMA." Thirty-two up-and-coming fighters will fight their way into the Bellator tournament under the tutelage and training of Couture and others in four separate fight camps for a chance to win a cash prize of US$100,000.
Good news for singer and actress Jennifer Lopez ("Parker") as she gets set to flex her producing muscles again. The former "American Idol" host's new show "The Fosters" has been picked up by ABC Family. The one-hour drama is expected to premiere this summer and will focus on a "multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms," according to an ABC Family release. "The Fosters" stars Teri Polo ("Meet the Parents"), Sherri Saum (ex-Keri Reynolds, "OLTL"), Jake T. Austin ("Wizards of Waverly Place"), Hayden Byerly ("Parenthood"), David Lambert ("Aaron Stone"), Maia Mitchell ("Castaway"), Danny Nucci ("Titanic") and Cierra Ramirez ("The Secret Life of the American Teenager"). Secret lovers Leighton Meester and Adam Brody? According to Us Weekly, actress Leighton Meester ("Gossip Girl," "Country Strong") and actor Adam Brody ("The O.C.," "Mr. and Mrs. Smith") are secretly dating and have been lovey dovey for a few weeks. Insider's reportedly confirmed that the "close and friendly" couple unwittingly let the cat slowly out of the bag about their relationship after being seen frequently hanging out together in and around Los Angeles. Meester and Brody who co-starred in the movie "The Oranges" in 2011, allegedly visited Bangkok, Thailand earlier this year – which means if they're already travelling together, you know what happens next.
Expensive Jackson family childcare. Tito Jackson, nephew of the late Michael Jackson and son of Jackson's brother Tito, is reportedly seeking more money to look after the late pop singer's three children Prince, Paris and Blanket. Since Jackson was awarded co-guardianship of the three siblings with his grandmother Katherine Jackson in July 2012, the singer, who is also married with children of his own, alleges that he is experiencing financial hardship. Executors of the late Jackson's estate have supposedly petitioned a judge to consider a more reasonable monthly income for Jackson – in and around a monthly allowance of $9,000, claiming that he hasn't received any financial support since becoming a surrogate dad.
Lindsay Lohan moves in with mom? Actress Lindsay Lohan's ("Liz & Dick") financial troubles have landed her in debt and frozen her assets due to just over $230,000 in unpaid taxes. Unable to afford the monthly rent on her Beverly Hills, CA home, and unwilling to reveal the costly makeover results completed by Bravo's "Million Dollar Decorators," on said home, Lohan is unable to keep up with the costs of her celebrity lifestyle. With a pending $1.1 million lawsuit against her 6126 clothing label partners over breach of contract looming, movie roles are few and far between and paid work is reportedly coming from the appearances she does overseas - only to be spent on 'whatever.' As a result, Lohan is reportedly back at home with her mother Dina in Long Island, NY and right into the bedroom she once occupied as a teenager. Yes, it's that overwhelming! Reportedly, Lindsay's father Michael Lohan is happy about the move and hoping it will foster more familial relations, while it is speculated that mom Dina is looking for her daughter to help with the mortgage. Lohan's reps have yet to confirm that the actress is living at home, but are reportedly admitting that she is in New York on an extended basis.
