There is a lot set to take place in Primetime television during the week of October 29, as well as a few scoops for before and after. This week's Primetime Dish column highlights episode teasers, casting scoops, full season pick-ups, cancellations, and one actress' objection to why the network sent her character away on a CBS show…

Due to Hurricane Sandy coverage the show will be pre-empted Monday October 29.

Animal Practice:
Cancellation. NBC has decided to throw in the towel on its new series. In its place will be "Whitney," with season two returning on Wednesday November 14.

Full season pick-up! After last week's report that the CW series was the most watched telecast the network has green-lighted "Arrow" for a full season pick-up. In Wednesday's October 31 8:00 PM CW episode titled "An Innocent Man" a late night bonding session with Thea gives Oliver the inspiration he needs to get back into Laurel's good graces. Arrow asks for Laurel's help, and Walter asks one of his employees to look into a $2.6 million withdrawal of Moira's.

Beauty And The Beast:
On Thursday November 1 in the CW episode titled "Basic Instinct" Vincent saves a boy who was left for dead. While the detectives question those connected to the boy, Lois is stunned to learn that her daughter has been dating this young man. Silverfox and his Murifield agents offer to tell Cat the truth about her mother, and Vincent refuses to flee. Tune in at 9:00 PM.

Blue Bloods:
According to various reports, Jennifer Esposito informed CBS that she could only work on a limited basis due to her Celiac Disease, which damages the small intestine lining and prevents it from absorbing important parts of food in order to stay healthy. The network allegedly put her character, Jackie Curatola, on a leave of absence on-screen, to which Esposito fired back on Twitter:

The series returns to ABC Family with new episodes beginning at 9:00 PM on Monday January 7, 2013.

Annie Wersching ("24") and former telenovela star Kuno Becker will be joining the series. Find out who else is set to turn up in season two, which premieres on January 28, 2013, through our Dallas Comings and Goings. If you missed any of season one's episodes catch up through's Dallas recaps.

After averaging 14.30 million viewers CBS has picked up its new series for a full season. Tune in Thursdays at 10:00 PM.

Emily Owens, M.D:
In the CW Tuesday October 30 9:00 PM episode titled "Emily And… The Outbreak" Cassandra and Emily do well on a quiz. Emily agrees to talk to a group of high school girls about safe sex and tries to forget about her feelings for Will. Watch a preview below:

Franklin & Bash:
Garcelle Beauvais, who's played Hanna Linden from 2011 to 2012, won't be returning for season three of the TNT series. The actress tweeted:

Gossip Girl:
Due to Hurricane Sandy coverage the show will be pre-empted Monday October 29.

Hart Of Dixie:
The October 30 8:00 PM CW episode titled "Walkin' After Midnight" will be full of tricks and treats. Tuesday Episode Teasers: Zoe notices some odd occurrences happening at home. Wade is left out in the cold due to a sleep study for George. The Mayoral race is close, and AnnaBeth comes up with an unusual plan.

Renewed! Showtime has ordered twelve more episodes of its hit series to move on with a third season. With 1.75 million viewers for its Sunday October 21 10:00 PM episode, who could blame the network?

In Cinemax's Friday November 2 10:00 PM episode titled "Hourglass" Jack Turner bids on the dam contract, and Sam sees a man from her past.

TNT's new pilot has found its star in Brendan Fraser ("The Mummy" films). His character is an operative who can transform into different people to suit each job.

Singer Wyclef Jean, formerly of The Fugees, has landed a multi-episode arc on the series as the head of a music label and tweeted this photo:

In The CW's Friday November 2 9:00 PM episode titled "True Believer" Ryan tells Nikita an undercover agent has been arrested, and Birkhoff and Sonia continue to argue.

Pretty Little Liars:
If you missed the Tuesday October 23 Halloween special read Soap Opera Fan Blog's recap Pretty Little Liars: This Is A Dark Ride before the new season returns to ABC Family on Tuesday January 8 at 8:00 PM.

Private Practice:
After the series finishes its current thirteen episode order it will end for good. ABC has cancelled the show after six seasons, stating the show had reached its finish line. Tune in for the final episodes on Tuesdays at 10:00 PM.

Switched At Birth:
ABC Family will bring its series back for a second season on Monday January 7, 2013 at 8:00 PM.

The Following:
The new FOX series starring Kevin Bacon ("X-Men," "Footloose") will premiere Monday January 21, 2013 at 9:00 PM. Bacon's character, ex-FBI Agent Ryan Hardy, will be called out from retirement in order to locate a diabolical serial killer named Joe Carroll (James Purefoy, "Rome").

The Good Wife:
Michael J. Fox ("Spin City," "Back To The Future," "Family Ties") will be returning to his role as Louis Canning during season four's episode eleven in January 2013. Until then tune in Sundays at 9:00 PM.

The Lying Game:
Tune in to ABC Family on Tuesday January 8 at 9:00 PM for an all new season.

The Mindy Project: sat in on a conference call with the FOX series star, executive producer and creator, Mindy Kaling (Mindy). When asked if the great chemistry among the cast was instant, she stated, "I think it is a little easier for me now because I created the show I’m not shy around strangers because I in general either auditioned them or approached them for part so now I’ve been thinking a lot [about] them before they started working with me, so for whatever reason that made me less shy." Tune in Tuesdays at 9:30 PM.

The New Normal:
Halloween is in the air, with Nicole Richie guest starring, in NBC's October 30 10:30 PM episode titled "Para-New Normal Activity." Tuesday Episode Teasers: Brian decorates the house then heads to the pumpkin patch and spots some celebrities.

The Vampire Diaries:

Look for Kiefer Sutherland's FOX series to return with season two for a two-hour premiere on Friday February 8 at 8:00 PM.

Kevin Dunn ("Luck") has been cast in a recurring role for season two of the HBO series. Look for Dunn to appear as Ben - the President's new Chief of Staff.

With a draw-in of 14.94 million viewers CBS has given its new series a full season for fans to look forward to. Tune in Tuesdays at 10:00 PM.
